I did this online personality test which has somehow been floating about online today. Found the results to be rather accurate. Here goes:

Part #1: Why the creator behind Youtube should be immortalised.

Simply because Youtube rocks socks! If not for that wonderful free video-sharing website, I will never be able to catch the latest season of The Amazing Race (which stupid Mediacorp is not showing for whatever lame excuse they've come up with), considering that I don't have cable TV and hence do not have AXN or anything like that. Add to that the plethora of other programmes available there such as Ghost Whisperer, Lost etc. Ooooooh! :)

Part #2: PSI Index has a new peak!

So the haze is getting from bad to worse, with the PSI Index hitting 150 at 9pm tonight. That figure is almost double that of the previous peak, of this haze season, of 80 a few days ago. The visibility outside my room is terrible, the smokey smell which comes with the haze stinks like hell, and I am getting a headache from breathing in all that smoke. Thank goodness it's not my 'A' Level year or something. How to study when it's so smelly in the first place. Nonetheless, a small little sadistic part of me finds the decreased visibility rather interesting. Like what some of my friends say, it feels just like Genting Highlands minus the smell.

Part #3: Jay Chou

The more I think about it, the more I feel that it is because of artists like Jay Chou etc. who have been marginalising the entire market that talents like Shi Kangjun are banished to obscurity. It will be great if the focus can be placed on more lesser known talents to begin with. Anyway, I find the 5/5 rating which 8 DAYS gave for the "Yi Ran Fan Te Xi" album absolutely ridiculous. Granted that there are some good tracks in it, but 5 stars is just too much. A little conspiracy theory of mine: The reviewer (who incidentally is a female this time round) could very possibly have been besotted by Jay's bod into giving the 5/5 rating.

Part #4: Soda Green

Soda Green's album will be released on 20th October in Taiwan! I can't wait! Wonder when the album will reach Singapore shores though.

It's been such a busy and sucky week that I feel my hatred towards L coy going up many notches. Before long it's probably going to burst through the roof or something.

Nonetheless, I have to say that it's very nice to know that I have been missed. The people in plt 9 just rocks lah. :)

■ 關於遲到千年

遲到千年這首歌，寫的是對於慢半拍的人事物，所造成難以消滅的芥蒂的描寫。寫於我高三升大一的暑假，在一個心還在昏睡，而身體已在捷運站等候的場景，在台北車站等著南勢角線的時候，寫下這首歌。

感受是來自直覺的，事情毀壞了就一直停留在錯失良機的那一刻，就像心留在黃昏再也無法進入夜晚。在心裡想把那人事物毀滅、放棄、丟掉或乾脆吃掉，可是逃避只換來更多的不滿足和空虛。

因為詞彙來自感受，而感受來自直覺，用誨澀拼貼、直覺式，難以連結的結構，以及些許詞性轉品來寫這首歌的歌詞，加入與歌詞差異大，反而平易近人的旋律。

第一次聽到遲到千年這首歌，是在高三升大學的暑假，青峰拿了歌詞，說要練歌，印象最深刻的是看到歌詞的第一個字，我就傻眼了！這個字怎麼念？（是底言春天嗎？）

模糊的記得，當時我們在某個同學的家中，用著有點中古的鋼琴，有沒有錄音，我也不記得了……

遲到千年，是當時青峰所有創作中，我最喜歡的一首，也是第一首我能從頭到尾唱好的歌！

大二的時候，青峰說他想把創作們錄成Demo，我們僅有的錄音設備就是一台MD和一個小麥克風，於是我們選了幾個週末，就在我遠在蘆洲的家進行這項工程……

第一天，我們吃飽喝足後才開錄，起了個頭才發現，要克服非常多的困難，第一，我家人的拖鞋聲，第二，電腦的隆隆聲，第三，冷氣轟轟聲，叫家人不要走來走去和關掉電腦是很簡單的事，沒想到我們最無法克服的是要關掉冷氣……

錄Demo的過程很特殊，因為不太會使用電腦編輯，所以從頭到尾不能出錯，主唱和吉他要同時一起錄，只要一出錯就得要重來，又因為只有一個麥克風，所以還要擺放在一個離主唱比較近、離吉他比較遠，又不會被震動到的位置，才會錄到比較平均的音量，錄出來的成品過到電腦裡後，我只會最簡單的功能，除掉部分空氣音，留下來的雜音似乎也將時空的氛圍與情緒一併記錄了下來。

2005年10月，我們又重新錄製了遲到千年，吉他、Bass、percussion、鋼琴、弦樂、Vocal、合音，這一次很豐富、很乾淨，兩種錄音版本，各有不同的味道，雖然都錄好了一段時間，但這張單曲的催生過程非常的特別，我們恐怕有說不完的故事……

It's been such a fulfilling day! Firstly, I have to say that the feeling of being on off on a weekday is utterly awesome. Alright, I know that this is not the first time I am on off on a weekday, but still I have to say this. It kinds of creates a gloating feeling in me knowing that most other guys my age are slogging it out while I am slacking. Ha Ha Ha. Okay, I am done being evil here.

Went shopping with randall today! Ran into mr project-superstar-to-be teR (:p), as well as byrant, zhengning, jeremy and zhimin at cineleisure. So happens that so many people decided to stake out cine on off day huh. =x But anyway, I decided to get a new queen's couture tee after much hesitation over its rather exorbitant price. Though I finally decided that the tee is too nice to be missed out on! Anyway I so very much want the nice nice nice revoltage tee and berms, as well as the jean perrie tees I saw just now! I want more new clothes! :x

As much as I want better earphones for my iPod. :o

Met huimin after that for FORBIDDEN CITY. It was utterly amazing I tell you! So amazing that I wound up getting the soundtrack and the programme booklet. :) Though you could tell that there were a couple of glitches here and there (like that cloth which refuses to drop etc), but the cast managed to cover these glitches naturally by their impromptu acting. The lightings which Esplanade Grand Theatre have to offer are put into good use in the play too. Of course, the songs are so nice nice nice! Kit Chan is such a remarkable songstress-actress! The idea of having a live orchestra under the stage is ingenious too; the effect created as the sound supposedly reverberates off the walls of the theatre is awesome - it kinds of feels like DOLBY digital surround sound system. Haha.

However, some disappointments include gaps in the storyline which I feel could be covered by some explanation. The abrupt and rather illogical ending does not go down very well with me either.

But the entire play is definitely well worth the $74 I spent for the tix!

PS: I so very very much want to catch SANDY LAM's concert in December!

Okay at 4:16am I don't really know what I'm talking about. Woke up in the middle of the night all of a sudden. Don't know why either.

But anyway, The Devil Wears Prada is a really good movie. =D Thanks pq n kj for catching it with me despite the long (and tiring) day we had yesterday. And of course, lifting my low spirits up in the process.

Local singers

Being in an extremely bored mood a few days ago, I decided to conduct a little market survey of my own just to kill time. Polling friends who were around with me at that time (ie, people from my platoon as well as my closer friends from other platoons as well as some other people on MSN that night I got home) and being absurdly high in the National Day mood, this was the survey question I popped.

Name the first local singer who comes to your mind.

The survey results are as follows.

16 votes - Stefanie Sun
8 votes - JJ Lin
5 votes - Tanya Chua
1 vote each - Ah Du, Kaira Gong, Kit Chan, Joi Chua

Meaning that other singers such as Stella Ng, Huang YiDa, Shi Kangjun, Two Girls, Mavis Hee, Jocie Kok, Sun Ho, the Project Superstars and Singapore Idols were left out of the picture altogether.

It really goes to show how the achievements of Stefanie Sun in the regional pop industry are deeply recognised by locals I suppose, resulting in her becoming the easiest-to-think-of local singer in my miniature poll.

Well, if my poll results are deemed to be accurate, I guess Tanya should not feel that unloved anymore (as what she claims in recent interview). At least she's in a better position than many other local singers. Hah.

Fireworks

Fireworks

Don't you think that fireworks are amazingly pretty? I believe that they can be considered to be a form of art, as they explode beautifully and artistically into a wide array of colours, styles and patterns, thereby brightening up the night sky. Utterly fascinating. The beauty of the fireworks will surely be etched in the minds of all Singaporeans, both young and old, who managed to catch at least one of the numerous fireworks displays for National Day or the Fireworks Festival.

As Jianfeng sums it up concisely in his blog, "Forget about how short the fireworks last, just remember its beauty!"

Totally, totally awesome. And I feel that such fireworks displays have a certain magical nation-building ability. The entire crowd cheers together when something spectacular is put up!

In addition, the exuberance and joy of catching such a beautiful display with friends is wonderful.

Thanks Chunyan, Sheweay, Zhikai, Baohong, Kah Tat and Kent for that class outing where we somehow or other ended up at Esplanade just in time for the Italian fireworks show, though half of our view was blocked by trees.

Thanks to some of my fellow platoon mates who were there with me catching the fireworks put up after the finale of the National Day performance outside National Stadium.

Thanks Yongqiang for that wonderful buffet dinner and for accompanying me to catch that superb New Caledonia display on Friday night. =)

I already can't wait for the shows next year.

I am back.

Here I am, back blogging again after five months of absence. Well, my disappearance is nothing new, considering that I have vanished from the bloggersphere for a much longer period of time in the past.

Blogging is a high maintenance pasttime. And I simply do not have the passion to continue updating about my daily life on a very frequent basis. Blame it on my fickle change in interest or whatever. =)

Anyway, for future entries, I resolve to type in proper, standard English. It's supposed to be my niche given my A1 for General Paper. Yes, I am still so very proud of that feat. I must not lose my touch in writing! If I do, I will never be able to survive in FOC when I enter university in two years time.

Yes, stop rubbing your eyes or trying to figure out what went wrong with your computer screen. I am finally blogging again. And after a three-and-a-half month hiatus at that. At a very unearthly time of 4:10AM. But I suddenly feel like typing. And typing. And typing. And letting my thoughts over the past few months which I have left unblogged flow. So here I am. At the absolutely monstrous time of 4:10AM. Typing.

Disclaimer: I certainly hope that I will not offend anybody in this post (if anybody actually is reading it in the first place since I guess all my old loyal readers out there have since forsaken my blog due to its inactivity). Because even if I do, I am not going to go about editing anything.

No matter how cliched it may sound, but time certainly passes by quickly. Make that very quickly. Damn quickly. The thirteen weeks of my stint in BMT has already passed, I managed to POP in one piece, and now block leave is almost over and I have to report to my new unit come Monday.

Firstly, I shall touch on drama. Within this month alone, I managed to catch Nanyang JC's "Wo Men De Bai Yun Gang" and Hwa Chong Institution's "Huang Cheng Ye Yun". I have also been back to TJC twice to observe the juniors working hard for this year's "Lv Yuan Zhi Ye" performance.

All this activity somehow managed to rekindle that passion in drama which has remained dormant for the past ten months or so, ever since Lv Yuan 2005 ended with a resounding success, and I shifted my attention to my then-frailing studies.

But yet again, I doubt I will pursue drama as a CCA in university. Six years of it is probably enough, and I guess its about time to venture into other uncharted territory. Then again, it is still two years down the road till I enter university, so anything can change between now and then, given the very fickle-minded me.

Anyway, watching the two productions really makes me wonder if the local drama scene at the institutional level is getting more and more saturated year after year.

NYJC's "Bai Yun Gang", I feel, was better than last year's, albeit slightly. Sadly speaking, I felt that the plays are forgettable, and do not leave much room for discussion and to ponder about after the production. However, based on what I remember, at least the scripts this year seemed more complete to me, what with the climaxes and all. Note to BYG people if anyone happens to chance upon this: Try not to use supernatural influences in the plays in the near future years. Yes, it may be innovative for one year, but repeated usage just plainly shows a lack of ideas.

Acting-wise, probably average at best, but this does not come as a surprise given that acting standards seem to be dropping just about everywhere. Must be the influence of too much locally-produced Mediacorp serials. (Sidenote: Look at how everyone is gushing how Dawn Yeoh is such a remarkable actress. Granted, she IS good for a newcomer, but she is NOT a good actress yet. The Project Superstars cannot act, the Star Idols cannot act)

A good thing to note, though, is that this year's concepts for the stage design were better, and more effort seemed to be put in for it.

"Huang Cheng Ye Yun" -- one of the most anticipated school performances year after year (apart from TJ's of course *haha*). Better than last year's, though it was nonetheless disappointing. Still does not make me feel that it is worth the $15.

First of all, getting the chance to act on the Victoria Stage is something glorifying. However, this year, I cannot feel the sense of pride in most of the personnel involved at all. This year's xie4 mu4 was probably the weakest I have seen over the past seven years of watching Huang Cheng. Yes, they may be tired, but that does not warrant as an excuse. I believe that if one have given all one's heart and soul into making the performance a success, one will feel the pride, and the urge to celebrate the completion of a performance, regardless of how tired one is.

Secondly, the seeming lack of ideas for the stage designs this year. For most of the previous years, the stage designs for the plays would leave the audience in awe -- that's testimony to how marvellous they were. Standards are dropping though. Only the third play (after the interval) came close to something excellent. The stage for the first two plays were mainly illuminated by lightings, with not much stage design to talk about. Gone are the days of innovative ideas (I distinctly remember one year with that basketball hoop thing which could be converted into a lamppost or something), it seems.

Thirdly, the horrifying length of the entire show. Approximately three and a half hours for a production is seriously too long. And besides, the worse thing is that the quality of the plays is not there to justify the three and a half hours. If the plays can keep audiences at the edge of their seats, so be it. But the plays were draggy. A lot of parts seemed entirely redundant and could probably be cut. It was so draggy that I even fell asleep during the first play (granted, I was tired after an entire day of roaming around NTU for their open house, but it IS the first time I have fallen asleep during a huangcheng production). The fact that several of my juniors fell asleep as well during the third play, speaks volumes too. It would certainly have helped if the tempo of the plays was much faster. (It is during times like this when I would recall our script-writing process last year, when Mr Gan would insistently ask us to restrict all our plays to under half an hour. Though we felt that it was an irksome process, but it did much good to our plays I feel)

Fourth is a problem which has been existent for most huangcheng actors in recent years -- kai1 sheng1 was not done properly or adequately and it resulted in most of the actors shouting their lines with their throats, and not using their diaphragms at all. The result? Poor enunciation, unclear lines, and hoarse voices grating on the ears.

At least I do not have any technical errors or cue errors to complain about, unlike some of my friends who caught the Sunday afternoon or the Sunday night show.

However, I have to commend the people who came up for the emcee concept because that was really very good. One of the best emcee concepts I have seen ever. Though the emcee stint for the third play kind of reminds me of one of Lv Yuan's emcee stints in our 2004 production (the puppet one for "Hai You Hui Tou Cao Ma?"). The ticket design and publicity was generally not bad too. But gone are the days where a huangcheng performance will leave everyone with a particular talking point - it may be stage design or lighting effect or whatever. Nothing was especially memorable this year.

And it is with that I shall urge all my beloved CCC juniors to work your asses off for the upcoming Lv Yuan performance. I believe you guys will be able to bring Lv Yuan to greater heights ya? =) Have more confidence in yourselves.

Ok enough about drama. Hmm... Results-wise I will say that I have done well. Considering that I have been consistently flunking my tests and stuff like that during my JC days. CFF C5 (I think) for the stupid March progress reports which compiled results from lecture tests since MCTs are scrapped in TJ. AOO B4 for June common tests. ACD B4 for prelims. Hah. At least there's a marked improvement for my 'A's yah. Just that Physics is irritating me as much as it did two years ago when I got back my O levels results. But never mind, I am (and I should be) satisfied enough.

I can still recall that very instant I got back my results slip. Received slip from Mrs Leong, vaguely heard her congratulating me about my results because I was stunned into a daydream of my own, took about two or three seconds to register in my mind what was in front of me, practically shouted. Lol. Because seriously I thought it was impossible to get what I attained for GP la. Thought I screwed it up big time. Writing an ARTS essay even when I am a Science student. Opposing strongly to the compre author's view in my AQ. Though I backed it up with what I felt was relevant examples, but I was worried that such strong opposition will not go well down the marker's throat. But oh well, guess my anxiety was unfounded.

And anyway thanks ah people! Haha. I have finally experienced, first-hand, the wonders of word-of-mouth advertising. I only told a few people about my GP grade and it appears that now practically the entire world knows about it. =x And I even heard from Andrew that Mdm Lim is publicising my grade during her lessons to the year twos this year as well. Oh My God. And he said that she has already mentioned my name and my grade twice. *faint* But never mind. At least it's a positive thing which is being spread around. Hah.

Woke up bright and early at about 5.30am (and that is after merely 3 hours of sleep cos I was online daidee-ing) since I had volunteered, with much zest and enthusiasm, to help out at some lame parent's forum at The Chinese High School which was held in regard of the changing Primary School Chinese syllabus next year.

Met up with the rest of the CCC members involved at Little India at 6.30am before making our way down. The time spent there was mostly either spent directing the cars into the multi-storey carpark, or socialising with the TCHS people. Not particularly interesting I have to say, though after yesterday, I kind of figured that I am not really suited out for the service industry. I don't mind being all smiles in front of strangers in a bid to leave a good impression, but when I meet difficult people, I have this tendency to start kb-ing and complaining a lot. Haha. Or maybe I was merely just in a very angsty mood yesterday due to the lack of sleep.

Rotted with Jodi and Jieying (yah us three morons again) at Orchard Wisma Atria Coffee Club Express after the event ended to wait for the Drama Box Forum Theatre performance at Tiong Bahru. Discussed a little with regard to next year's Lv Yuan performance. I ordered summer tea freeze and spaghetti bolognese. And it is here that I shall issue a huge warning to all reading: Please DO NOT attempt to even try the summer tea freeze and spaghetti bolognese there. Because it is the worst-tasting spaghetti I have ever tasted in my entire life, and the tea wasn't particularly great either. (PS: My feelings with regard to the food and drink have been collaborated with Jodi and Jieying. So it's not just me me me me me) And anyway according to Jodi, the iced latte isn't very impressive too. So yah.

Went to the Drama Box Forum Theatre performance at Tiong Bahru. Watched the News Theatre performance first "News Busters" (Dua Dai Ji) which was rather good. I am extremely amazed at their ability to link, with such simplicity, most of the recent events which have made the newspapers. Really need to tou1 shi1 from them one day sia. Then perhaps writing scripts and thinking up scripts will be a much much more easier task. Will not meet with mental blocks and dead ends that often anymore too.

After which was the Forum Theatre performance "Tomorrow" (Ming Tian) which affected me a lot. It was a story about some old people and the conflicts they face in their everyday lives, in particular, loneliness. Despite the claims that many of the actors are first-timers, I have to say that I am rather awed by the acting of some of the actors involved. Because it is truly pro. In addition to that, the storyline of the play made me rather depressed. And Jodi almost cried sia, you can see that her eyes were red.

Went out again today with minghan. Walked around Tiong Bahru (yes, again, since he wanted to get something from there) and Tampines Mall before going home.

And I got Soda Green's album liao! Yays!

Signing off le. Ciaos. I seriously wonder how often I am going to appear at Drama Camp considering the fact that I am seriously booked over the next three days.. After so many drama camps it kind of feels weird not going, staying over, and participating in all of the activities.

PS: Jieying is forcing me to compliment her. Haha. So Jieying is as pretty as eVonne Hsu, can act as well as eVonne Hsu and can sing as well as eVonne Hsu. Happy? Haha. (Please don't ask why I use eVonne Hsu. Long story. Lol)

I'm back to blog again! Have been rather busy going out over the past few days, hence the lack of entries.

Went marine parade kbox in the morning with kohchiatying and jodichan. I should leave out the details la if not wait you all get bored. Anyway jodi's singing is so pro lah her singing buyaoshuobaoqian is much better than the Kelly Chen's original one u all shld go and make her sing for u all let u all hear

Met mindan at night to catch Exorcism of Emily Rose, sans Jodi cos she was meeting vanipops and cos she was too scared. Exorcism of Emily Rose was good! Though the horror bits are basically full of cheap thrills, but what captivated me more was the presentation of the court case and how it was argued. Was rather affected by the movie after it ended, possibly because of the incessant insistence that it was based on a true story. Got me thinking about the possibility of an outer realm and such stuff. Not that I was scared though. Just got my imagination wondering. Haha. The actors and actresses in the movie are damn pro as well. Especially the main lawyers and Emily.

Caught the last train home and reached home at around 1250. Nothing untowardly happened at 3am though! Lol. Anyway I've decided that I want to watch harry potter! Since yc and jy and alot of other ppl watched it and said that its actually quite nice. =D

And it's kinda spooky how there's a cut on my left cheek all of a sudden and I did not even notice how it got there and how I managed to injure myself. Maybe I'm immune to it already considering how accident-prone I am. Haha.

Went to kbox (yet again) today with adeline. Shall leave details out again ya. But tampines' kbox is full of female staff from china! And now i'm back watching survivor and rotting about on MSN. Thats all for now. Ciaos!

Went out with yc today! Haizzz it's been ages since we last met up liao..about half a year liao i think..not counting the other time at cineleisure when we coincidentally passed by each other..haha..kinda missd him actuali.. =x

And on the way to TM.. On the bus just before the bus stop I was supposed to alight.. The bus suddenly braked and since I was standing I grabbed firmly on those handles. AND I FREAKING PULLED ONE OUT. And it's not because I have supernatural powers thank you very much. Haha. Its because the 'rope' connecting the handle to the railing was tearing apart and wasn't exactly very taut. So with the entire lower deck of people staring at me I wondered where I should just dump the damn thing on the floor or place it anyhow on an empty seat (but there were any). I even contemplated the ticket dustbin for an instant (but it wont fit) before deciding to be a responsible commuter and hand it over to the bus driver. Who was so shocked and stared at me with huge eyes. :x

After which, before meeting yancheng, I went about rushing to get his super super super belated birthday present (oops..its been 2 and a half months le and im still so lagging haha!) and decided to queue for movie tickets beforehand considering the hideous queue I saw yesterday which stretched all the way outside pastamania.

So aft which we met up liao..by rite he wanted to go repair his hp de but miraculously it was okay all of a sudden..maybe i have this affinity with his hp lol..

treated him fish & co..went there cos i was seriously craving for fish & co food considering that i have not been there to eat since maybe one year ago or something..and i sort of dragged him there la. haha. =x and it was a miracle..considering tht he's already a very very very very very slow eater..and im still slower than him. haha. spent about one and a half hours getting through the meal. i think i do justice to all the slow eaters in the world. lol. while eating we chatted and talked and chatted and talked and crapped and caught up with stuff considering tht it has been a long time since we last talked abt something other than project wrk.

aft which walked walked and gai gaied abt TM lking out for stuff he wanted to get in thailand. and he promised to gt me a new wallet when he goes to thailand! yayyy. =D thanks boi!

watched skyhigh which was a nice movie! pretty good for one of those kinds of movies which merely promises mindless entertainment for the 100 minutes it is shown i have to say. and all this despite the rather predictable plot in which you can predict whats going to happen in the very next scene, and despite the rather cliched story. haha. go watch it cos its rather entertaining! =D

and tht marks the end of today =)

Went out today!!!!

First up met terence shaoqi esther and sheweay at TM. Our original intentions were supposedly to go to ajisen for lunch and catch the 1.50pm screening of "Sky High". But it was not to be, given our indecisive nature as characteristic of 04/04 people. So we talked and talked and talked and talked about a lot of stuff while deciding, and we ended up eating Mos Burger for lunch. Mos Burger, which can own all pian qian places hands down for its tiny miniature burgers at exorbitant costs, though their food is not bad. And after lunch, we doodled about deciding what movie to watch given some differences between people. Just Like Heaven was fine but it was too late. Exorcism of Emily Rose was not fine because it was horror. Sky High was not fine because sheweay hates such kiddo shows.

And in the end..

We watched ANIME at Shaoqi's house. I know that it will be horribly swakoo saying this, but its my first time (in recent memory) being exposed to anime. And I think its nice. Really. After which shaoqi, sheweay and I contemplated with the thought of watching Exorcism of Emily Rose at TM at 4pm. But alas it was not to be because the horrible cinema queue stretched all the way to outside Pastamania. So you can basically imagine how horribly long it was.

So we made our way to Century Square to catch "Oliver Twist"! It's a really really really really really really great movie. One of the best I've watched in recent years I have to say. The director effectively retold Charles Dickens' 1838 classic about the titular orphan who escaped from slavery in the workhouses in the backward areas into the streets of London where he was forced into thievery, and how he escaped from it after that. Though the story may appear to be extremely simplistic, but it is indeed very superb. Watching it, you will invariably feel for the protagonist as he goes through the ups and downs of his troubling life. Makes you think if you would be daring enough to stand up for yourself if you were thrusted into that situation when you were 9 years old. However, the ending was a rather sad one, which I shall not reveal lest I spoil the fun for anyone who wishes to catch the movie. Highly recommended by me!

After which went all the way to Parkway Parade to meet up with the CCC people (Yah I know I am a very very very very busy person =D). Ate at swensens, talked talked talked, and shopped for abit. Thanks mindan and jodi for that cap! =)

well, i'm back here to blog again though what i had originally intended to do was start playing Maplestory for the first time since god-knows-when. alas, it is not to be due to the programme refusing to load itself on my beloved new laptop (its not the configurations. i checked). oh well. i'll play only when i figure out what the hell is wrong with the programme. which may probably mean never.

so i guess i shall blog about how pathetic local drama serials are. i agree with kelvin's tirade regarding the atrocious "portrait of home 2" (aka tongxinyuan), and i also believe that 7pm "family shows" should not feature rape, bigamy, exploitation, cheating, stealing, unfilial kids etc as this will inevitably influence the impressionable young. oh well. should crime rates balloon further over the next ten years i guess we know who to point the finger to.

i suppose the only thing worth watching about the entire show (i don't really watch it in the first place anyway) is the baobei-dayang love saga which is convoluted with all sorts of totally unbelievable twists and turns in its own. dayang gets duped baobei gets kidnapped blah blah blah. though its true that there would be absolutely NOTHING to show if there are no climaxes, but i guess the scriptwriters must be losing it if they have to resort to such "cheap" extreme tactics to create drama. the xiaoxin-jingjing love story was very well executed without resorting to using much of these tactics.

one word: pathetic.

the 9pm show "the rainbow connection" (aka wuchucaihong) is not much better anyway. touted to be the "blockbuster of the year" in the advertisements preceding the television serial, i do not see how the programme is actually living up to that claim. the serial is totally plagued by horrible acting, several nonsensical scenes, and several instances where logic seems to defy itself. however, the show redeems itself by gripping me into watching it every night. why? because it is HIGHLY amusing. watch it for your daily dose of laughter! =D

the sub-heading of the serial in 8 Days reads "While vying for top honours, a group of aspiring dances gets entangled in their elders' past quarrels.". unfortunately, even after 11 episodes, there is nothing much dwelt upon on that main issue. which means they have basically spent 11 whole episodes (or maybe more) focussing on the backgrounds of each and every character, and the lulu-tianle love story. which is NOT interesting and captivating at all i have to say. and the main reason for that? julian hee is not convincing in his portrayal of the rich kid who decides to leave the safe confines of his home for his dreams at all. he seems more like a spoilt brat at times. and besides, a good and competent scriptwriter does not need to spend 11 draggy episodes or more trying to get to his point.

and the most classic scene of all has to be the last scene of one of last week's episodes. the one where lulu falls off the scaffolding of the construction site where tianle and jianyi work at. his reaction was totally amazing. he looked like he was going to hyperventilate the hell out of him. oh my god. he looked more in need of urgent hospital ER treatment as compared to lulu who fell.

some of the dialogue of the show is horrible and doesnt make sense as well, though i am fortunately unable to recall them at the back of my head (as my memory is not meant for such lame usage). meanwhile, the bees in yesterday's episode were absolutely pathetic for a "blockbuster-standard serial". it was totally blatantly obvious that they were digitally added on. and please mediacorp, do make an effort to make your bees or wasps or whatever they were look more convincing. because they look more like fireflies than what they were supposed to be.

meanwhile, i have this gut feeling that jeanette aw's role was specifically written so as to tailor to her acting capabilities. given that she has been typecast as the typical blur girl next door who does not have much confidence in herself in practically every single role she has played from mo jing jing until now, perhaps that is a sign to show how much of a versatile actress she is in the first place.

and in case you think these are merely one-off instances, i found the storyline and dialogue of YBMT unbearable as well. but at least it did not fall prey to terrible terrible acting. kudos to all the child actors, the veterans such as huangwenyong and chenxiuhuan, and rui en for turning in a creditable job. esp rui en considering tht she has improved by a lot.

while the Mediacorp drama department is losing it, let's just say that the variety department is not much better.

"Star Idol" was launched in the "Project Superstar" fever to allow audiences to say who would become the next big thing. however, the pathetic mediacorp variety show department is totally double standard and hypocrital. one moment they claim that they are looking for talent and that looks do not matter at all. the next moment they come out with their axes and hacked the dreams of these people into shatters. i mean, it is so obvious that they're only letting the pretty faces in, while as a compromise, the people who are actually competent actors are let go. even their own magazines "8 Days" and "I-Weekly" have reported that.

mediacorp should just wake up their ideas considering how great the acting skills of the stable of artistes they have under them are. seriously, this media monopoly by mediacorp is absolutely irritating. where's the competition? where's the urge to improve?

as yuyang put it brilliantly, "its so irritating to see an influx of pretty faces on tv when those that are well, not very pretty get hidden at home.yar i know they have to consider those pervertic ass****s who only want to see beautiful people. admit it ok, we detest ugly people. alot of man cringe to see ppl like patmok on tv and woman dun like to see mark lee prancing around on tv. i think that all the talk about personality being more important is actually shallow crap. patricia mok and mark lee are just plain lucky. if they took part in staridol, they'd be out before they can even introduce themselves."

sad to say, there's a whole plethora of such programmes coming up on the television near you.

meanwhile, mediacorp is truly making a very big effort to fleece money out of the project superstar fans. absolutely unbelievable. as if fleecing 60 cents per vote out of fans is not enough, and as if the "Project Superstar" compilation is not enough, the "rainbow connection" soundtrack comes prancing along in a bid to cheat fans out of their money. BAH. (to save myself from looking unglam and unsophisticated, here's a disclaimer: I DID NOT BUY THE STUPID OST)

i'm back after a two-month long hiatus!

hey people! i am finally back to the blogging world after a two-month-long hiatus (and after much persuasion by kelvin to get my ass down to blogging) with an entirely new template and all for my blog! of course, i hope that you guys are not blinded by the bright bright yellow background! =)

well well, the A levels are officially over (for me anyway), though the pitiful biology people still have a biology MCQ paper on thursday, the literature people still have two papers to go on thurs and friday, while the smart asses taking chem and physics S papers have to wait till friday before they are finally emancipated from all this examination stress and what not.

perhaps i should start counting my lucky stars that i end my exams early. but its a bad sign when you consider the fact that the emptiness has already officially set in. i hope that i am not the only one experiencing this, if not it would be tremendously freaky! i'm basically referring to that inevitable "empty" feeling you get after a major examination in which you have worked so hard for is over, and you find yourself living a life with no particular 'aim' to busy yourself with. haha. and its definitely not a good sign that i dreamt of school yesterday night. oh no.

just in case there are people out there who are terribly interested and concerned about how i feel i have done for my 'A' levels examinations, heres a breakdown of all the papers and everything.

GENERAL PAPER

well well, i was aiming for an A1 before the paper. but now after the paper, the dream bubble has burst and i have to stop living in my world of illusion in which i fantasize getting A1 for GP. basically it was the subject i was most stressed out over because of my lofty ambitions. and because of my absurdly erratic results which take the shape of a sine curve graph. excellent one moment, and terribly shitty the next. and it is indeed sad to say that i am probably going to end my two years of studying general paper with a terrible grade. all this after getting 41 for the essay i typed a week before the A levels which brought my expectations up soaring so high. BAH.

i think i screwed paper one (as usual). The topic i wrote: Do the arts, such as music and literature, really play a significant part in Singaporean society? on hindsight, i feel like an empty barrel making a lot of uncalled for noise. i took a pretty-much one sided point of view lambasting the general apathy of the arts in most Singaporeans, without considering a lot on the opposite view. and most of my examples hail from the drama scene with little on music and nothing on literature. though i am hoping that that "such as" merely serves as a guideline to steer people in the right direction lest people start talking about economics and geography. but then again the only thing i remember liking about the entire essay is the introduction and the conclusion. which does not bode well for the body isn't it. but i HOPE that my balance is well-thought out enough to save my essay from doom. one word: argh.

the comprehension paper was relatively easier i have to say, and pretty much easier as compared to last year's A level comprehension on "choices" which we did as a mock exam in which i got a rather pathetic mark of 30.5 which made my teacher stunned. though i guess i screwed AQ. and i think my tone was darn aggressive. but the fact that only one passage came out did not shock me that much as it may have shocked a lot of other people maybe cos my teacher did mention before that something like that may happen

MATHEMATICS

basically maths was my only secure hope for an A grade. and after the two papers i hope i have pretty much nailed that A grade. =D though the wooden plank uniform distribution and hypothesis testing question in paper two irks me to hell. and i basically doodled nonsense which i guess do not make much sense in the paper one ten-mark 3D trigonometry question cos i totally SUCK at 3D trigo and it is just my bad luck that cambridge chose to set it this year. but other than that i think the papers were relatively doable bah. just hope that there were no careless mistakes!

and thanks cambridge for setting terribly wickedly jian4 questions, some of which almost fooled me into falling into their carefully-set up trap. and thanks for setting much harder papers for this year as compared to previous years which caught me offguard!

PS: i think it was clever, the way they set the AP/GP question.

CHEMISTRY

it is extremely stressful sitting for chemistry papers with someone who has "chemistry whiz" plastered all over his face sitting diagonally in front of you and who is able to finish damn fast.

paper 3 is pretty much screwed up. for the biochem option questions i basically crapped my way through the first question without making much sense as to what the heck i was actually writing. and i did not know how the hell to draw haemoglobin so i drew this cute little soy bean there. i hope i did not amuse the markers to death. but the second question was relatively much better. the organic chemistry questions were okay i guess, except for the irritating polymer question in which i cannot comprehend half of the things i was writing about. and i managed to solve part of the deductive question. and it irks me that i had no time to finish writing down my deductions for C and D. but i shall take comfort in the fact that at least i managed to get E F G H. screwed inorganic chem up, including that SPA skill A question. and i hope i managed to get the electrolysis calculations correct.

paper 2 is much easier. though i did not study brine at all at least i managed to deduce out the products by noting the anions and cations present in the brine solution and all that crap.

and paper 1 is heavenly. as of after the paper i only knew of 1 mistake which i made. hopefully the number of mistakes STOPS there.

please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please let me get A for chem! >,<

PHYSICS

from the point of a view of a traditionally physics idiot:

this year's physics paper is okay. at least i can fathom what half of the questions require, and i can do most of it. though whether they are correct or not is a different matter.

i wonder if MOE decided on a sudden change in syllabus without informing teachers and their students or if it is merely a mistake on MOE's part as it is mentioned on the cover page of the physics paper one MCQs that Each correct answer carries one mark. when it has traditionally been 2 marks for each MCQ.

and for once i could do gravitation questions and the analogue electronics questions!
though electricity still sucks like shit. duno what the heck i am writing for the capacitor question.

as for paper 3, option was okay, though i made a HUGE mistake in deciding to attempt the ideal gas question when it would have been much much much more easier should i do the erm. dynamics and kinematics question. but never mind. im pretty much satisfied for my performance for physics i guess!

and it will be over my dead body that i choose a physics-related course in university. that would be tantamount to subjecting myself to further misery. BAH!

hey heys im back to blog!

ok nothing much to talk about yesterdae laa.. just a usual stay-at-home-and-rest-and-rot-and-sleep day.. nid a lot of sleep la.. haha been going out for so many days le den a bit tired.. hey celebrating end-of-exams do sap a lot of energy k! =x ok la i did go out for awhile.. go my neighbour house eat eat.. cos my neighbour going paris to attend a film-making course for 2 years.. wah its hes like so talented lo.. but sadly i tink film-making in singapore not very profitable leh.. look at what happened to even those critically-acclaimed films like be with me.. generally daunting response from the public.. [note audrey's blog regarding that person who SNORED during the movie. how wonderful] and apart from the fact that singapore's most famous film-maker and director (aka jack neo) has movies which just so happens to sell probably because he already has a huge following due to his television exposure =X

and apart from that singapore films and drama theatre do face millions of restrictions oso. whatever u BLOG oso comes under scrutiny. oh wells. but never mind i believe that even with all those stupid restrictions which are so ironic given that many goes against singapore's wish to progress into a "vibrant" society, i still wish him all the best``- hahahs =)

lol this is my fourth post within an hour! isnt that so amazing! =)
anyway the singapore hit awards nomination lists are out!

i shall not comment anything with respect to whom i predict will win (only on whom i HOPE will win) the award for each category because when the award date draws near and the attendance list is confirmed..the winners will be very very obvious..i mean its lidat one mah..if the artistes come they will win something..or maybe its because the singer got win then they peng2 chang3 cos singapore's market is very small in the first place. but whatever it is. i nonetheless believe that singapore jinqujiang is rather fenzhurou-ish. =X

personally i hope mayday will win this cos i feel that this album is indeed of a rather high quality..and also because i feel that they were unfairly left out in the nomination list for the corresponding category for the taiwan jinqujiang this year.stefanie's album is definitely another obvious strong contender..the gai4 nian4 for her album is quite strong i feel.FIR's album isnt particularly as well-liked by critics as compared to their debut though.anyway i really hope that neither david tao nor jay chou wins..cos david tao had won in 2000 and 2003 for "i'm ok" and "hei se liu ding" respectively while jay chou had won in 2002 and 2004 for "fan te xi" and "ye hui mei" respectively..time to have some new faces win the award!

wow. 3 of the songs in the above list have rather exotic arrangements..ranging from the bali feel in FIR's qian nian zhi lian, to egyptian mu nai yi, to futuristic bian hao 89757..tong lei and shuang qi dong wu on the other hand are more mellow in their arrangements.. so i guess it all depends on what the judges prefer lorh..though i think that more "exotic" arrangements do go down better with the judges cos its more experimental and more out of the ordinary

its truely obvious that this will end up in a two-horse race between mayday and FIR. a factor which determines singapore hit awards winners is evidently the artiste's popularity, as observed from the trends of past winners -- all of them are all so popular! it is highly highly rare that a not-so-popular artiste actually manages to clinch some accolades and get himself/herself some recognition in this music awards. and as such being said, I believe that dongjingyuetuan, SHIN and wangfu are just there to make up numbers. prove me wrong, 933.

in the very first paragraph ive mentioned that 933 is a fenzhurou-ish event, if you recall. this is most evident in an instance a few years ago where stella ng missed out on winning the best newcomer award. all of a sudden during the awards ceremony they announced the presence of a "most promising local newcomer" award and gave it to her. if i remember correctly, huang yida also suffered a similar fate last year after losing out to FIR in the best newcomer award. please lor. how many local newcomers are there in a year? one? at most two?

and as such, in conclusion, i believe that shi kangjun, with all his composing talents and remarkable 19-note range singing ability, he doesnt stand much of a chance against the much more popular zhang dongliang cos of the presence of the local newcomer award. =.=" besides, it doesnt hurt that zhang dongliang had won this award in the quan qiu ge qu pai hang bang music awards. popularity certainly plays a factor too. furthermore zhang dongliang is much more popular than any of the other nominees in terms of regional success. =X [ps: i must say that tong en's voice is not bad. and dongjingyuetuan's xiangxinweilai is nice!]

a newly included award this year. firstly there's FINALLY a sign of wang lee-hom in the nomination list! poor him.. missing out on the best album production category.. but anyway i believe that it isn't in the position for anybody to judge who's the "best composing artiste". and especially so given that singapore is such a small market. i mean each and every single composing artiste is good in their own respective ways. they are strong in different areas, for example mayday does rock, leehom does chink-out, tanya does ballads, david and jay are more towards r&b. how fair is it for 933 to judge them like that? somemore to base this on merely one album just seems absurd. and what exactly is the criterion to be the "best composing artiste"? even with 3 winners -- splitting them into gold, silver and bronze -- wouldn't be enough. look at the tons of "composing artistes" they have left out. penny has composed 100% OF THE SONGS in her 7 albums so far, writing all the lyrics and compositions. guangliang has churned out hits after hits from di yi ci to wo ni de shou to tong hua. FIR isnt good enough even with hits like lydia, fly away, qian nian zhi lian, ci niao, revolution, wo men de ai, ni de wei xiao, wo yao fei?

nice to see some new names in the best male vocalist list instead of the usual veterans all the time! kinda surprising to see li shengjie in there, though he is indeed a very good singer. however, i am kind of skeptical regarding JJ's entry. why isn't lee-hom included? you have to admit that he's a much stronger vocalist than JJ. thats what im inclined to believe. and besides, i do get a strong feeling that Yes 933 is biased towards JJ among all the local male singers. you dont see them practising such "favouristism" to people like ah du..yida..shikangjun etc etc =X maybe its just me thinking too much liao laR. haha. but anyway. it will be great immense injustice if jacky cheung does not win this.

anyway, glad to see new names within the list like penny and fan weiqi and zhang shaohan. haha. anyway i am a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very huge fan of 范玮琪's "一比一" album right now and i believe that it is indeed one of the best albums to have been released over the past few years. besides, i like her unique vocals too. haha. thats why im hoping against hope that fanweiqi will win the award. which is kind of impossible actually. anyway zhang shaohan's inclusion does not come as a surprise given her recent nomination in the taiwan golden melody awards.

however, i believe that in the end, the "fight" will go down between fish leong and stefanie sun. fish had won this once before in 2003 for "wei wo hao" album..and she so narrowly missed out to stefanie in the taiwan golden melody awards for "yan wei die" album this year..will she clinch the best female vocalist here again this time in expense of stef? anyway i believe that the judges will tend to favour both of them over the other 3 nominees lah, sad to say.

yep you read right..i havent blogged for 18 days! haha at this rate i am going i'll only average 2 posts a month..which isnt a lot to begin with in the first place..ooopx! =z shall type a lot today lah.. and will split the entire entry into a few posts..about different stuffies.

prelim exams are finally over!

and theres no school until next tuesday..while the poor souls taking S papers have to slog it out in the examination hall..can you imagine..theres still higher chinese S paper and geography S paper and whatever else next monday..poor people lorh want to have some days of rest after the prelims oso dont have.haha.i really sympathise with them hahahaha, considering how much i have NOT been erm.studying over the past 2 days?

lets have a breakdown of what i think of the prelim exams.

MATHS

paper 1 -- totally shitty i dont understand how some people can go around saying that its terribly easy omg totally demoralise me on that day lorh make me think that my maths really suck that much haizzz. this year's standards are reali much higher than past year's standards. i know. cos i did so many past year paper ones in preparation and when i went to sit for the paper i stun tio. maebe is i suay lah. cos this yr suay suay all the topics i terribly weak in all come out. like 3D trigo (which i left blank). like graphs and transformation (which i duno whether correct or not but from the looks of it if i get it correct i can kiss my ass). and adding to that all the stupid careless mistakes down there (im sure of their existence.even though i was rather vigilant against it.cos even q1 oso careless le what more can i say.) i just hope i can get 70+. and anyway i spent 30 minutes drawing that stupid curve sketching graph. why? cos i do do do do do le finish drawing graph le. realise the shape a bit wrong for such an equation. then go back and check. then realised that RIGHT AT THE THIRD LINE. my dy/dx got careless mistake. so redo lorh. redid and redrew graph le. still weird weird de. go back and check. my dy/dx got careless again! so edited the thing. and then i realised tht my intercepts are wrong. BAH

paper 2 -- ok lah. i tink its rather okay though practically the whole world tinks its a killer. should be very qing4 xing4. cos within the last 15 minutes i saw the light to how to tackle that amazingly difficult iterative question which wants you to find a stupid STATIONARY POINT. and i saw a error in the differentiation part which i overlooked even as i redid the question at least 3 times to doublecheck =X left 3m blank cos one small stats part i duno how to do. on the whole okay lah. hah.

CHEMISTRY

paper 1 -- last paper of prelims le..wasnt reali in the mood leh..haha.but anyway think im not going to do well lah.cos yue zuo yue tou tong yue mei you xin qing..and yue zuo yue mei you shi jian..so in the end the organic chem part and the last few questions i anyhow fill in. =X

paper 2 - made a lot of stupid mistakes. bloody electrochem question was a terrible killer. wat charge wat discharge la make everybody luan4 only. argh.

paper 3 - better than i thot it would be..expected a much more higher standard considering how TJ chem department is renowned for being professional assassins during exams. but i tink its doable lah. and i can freaking do the deductive question for once. yayy

PHYSICS

paper 1 & 2 -- lol i nvr study finish le go and kao3 how well do you think i will do? mcq anyhow tikum paper2 got quite a lot of blanks.. then anyway i tink varella has got something against me or something. surely not coincidental lor. haha. when he giving illustration of wat to shade for the optical mark sheet he gave '04' and '20' which is basically wat i was supposed to shade lah. =x

paper 3 -- surprisingly do-able! for once i love the experience of sitting for a physics paper. relatively tyco oso lah. cos i nvr reali go and stdy in depth for everything. what i studied came out.. so yeah! =)

GENERAL PAPER

and the comprehension passage was total shit can it was so damn blardee difficult

okay. i think i should be satisfied with my GP mark. but somehow i am not. i know a lot of people are so going to kill/murder/slaughter me into bits and pieces after reading this. but who cares. its my own lofty expectations that i want to live up to. and failed to live up to.

stay-at-home-day! haha. wanted a day of rest and also to stay at home to basically sleep the entire day awaysss. so while other ppl are back in school feeling pissed over their results for the junecommontests/mid-years/blocktests/whatever-they-are-called-in-your-JC, im at home playing maplestory and sleeping and watching tv and basically slacking the day away.

shit. i've not done any tutorials yet! i'm so going to die when the teachers begin going through the tutorials. sianzzz...

but anyway people wish me luck for tomorrow! going to get back some results liaos i believe`- haizzzz

m.o.n.d.a.y (4th july 2005)

0404 class outing dayy. by right was to meet the class at night for dinner at TM pizza hut. in the end i pangsehed them cos i got tix to watch live recordings for 絕對 SUPERSTAR. haha. by right didnt have tix de.. just that cos adeline was going.. den she got tix for herself and sally (whom i havent seen for two years liaos) thru catherine (weijian's stead) n her fren's fren.. den she felt that its very ulu-fied going to mediacorp alone and she very jinzhang miting catherine oso. so i go wif her lo. haha. then in the end got some auntie haf extra tix den i gt frm her. haha. and pangsehed the class.. haha oops. i am so evil.

but anyway the world is so small. saw zhenbin and shuping there. haha. shuping n her frens were supporting jason while zhenbin n her frens were supporting junyang. didnt expect to see TJCians there lo! but thats not the point`- saw guohuiwen. as in that actress who acted as qiurong in that lameshit you3 fu2 show. saw sylvestersim and his family at the mediacorp reception area. haha. sly was surrounded by lots of teenage girls`- horrendous. oso saw some superstar contestants like sebastian (who was not due to perform that night) and sugianto and raymond (who have been booted out).

though the stipulated starting time on the ticket stated 6pm but we had to wait till about 7:45pm when everything was ready and settled and the live recording started. quanyifeng looked so thin in person lahs. and liweisong looked like a plumper version of guangliang. haha. ok not the point.

and sally grew taller within the past 2 years. haha. last time she so short now so tall liaos.

but anyways the feeling of watching live and watching at home on television is totally different. when watching live its like you get the live stereo feeling? and you can see the performers perform as well? the feeling totally rox yeahs. haha. urggh i want more tix!! i want to go for future recordings oso~~ sianzzz.

only watched the male contestant quarter finals featuring weijian, junyang, jason and leon. (which will be shown on tv at 8.30pm tomorrow. or rather today since its past 12am). didnt watch the recordings for the female contestant quarters which have ruth, lijun, kelly and xinhui cos dont have tix. think that the way they group is kinda crap lahs. cos i feel that all four of the male contestants performing this week are vocally the strongest and are the four whom, i feel, should continue into the next round of the competition!

on the other hand i feel that the four next week should be out =.= so dodos lah i donno how they split the groupings oso. now that there are 8 males and females left shouldnt it be time for them to compete together or something? dodos! arghhh im so jinzhang for junyang and weijian. haha. cos they are slightly the better two out of the four.. and if i had to choose 2 to go into the nxt round it wil b d two of them. but leon and jason also have tons of fans lahs! urgh tomorrow nid to vote liaos!

M1: 洪俊揚 sang 周杰倫's “借口”. which i feel is a rather difficult song to sing though adeline and sally felt that ppl should not sing jay's songs for competition. but i feel its a rather wise song choice lah cos its a good song to show off your techniques if you are good. and if you suck it will totally show the flaws in your voice. and the gamble paid off cos he got the highest score of the night! he got 38.5 which is like the highest score awarded so far in the entire competition!!! pro siaz~ thats an improvement from the 32.5 he got from singing 林俊杰's "江南". and furthermore quanyifeng said that he was down with a high fever but still bao4bing4shang4zhen4.. pro~

M2: 陳國強 sang Baby's (or 品冠's) "愛情不能作比較".. i don't know how he will sound on television but live he didnt sound very good. cos the high notes in the bridge kinda went all over the place. and the lower parts of the song kinda sounded quite bland. but other than that it was still okay lahs.. but the judges awarded him a full ten marks less than junyang.. giving him 28.5 which is also the lowest score of the night.. deproved by half a mark from his mark in the first quarterfinals when he sang 愛如潮水.

their duet was 無印良品's "想見你" by the way.

M3: 何維健 sang 範逸臣's "Piano".. haha well he must be a very big van's fan.. cos this is the second time he chose a van fan song for the competition. in the first quarters he chose 範逸臣's "除此之外" and got 35 marks remember? haha well now he sang piano and got 36.5, which is also the second highest of the night. he's very good lahs cos this song isnt exactly very easy to sing. and yet he managed to pull it off well enough. good enough so much so that the judges basically did not comment much on his singing except saying that his performance and voice were 舒服 to hear and watch.. and commented on his outfit and his cute attitude instead. haha. and liweisong gave him 8.0 marks! i dont think liweisong awarded 8 marks to a male contestant before! this shows how good weijian is. hahahahah. =)

oh yar u must must must must must must must must must must must must must must must must must must must watch his introduction video before he sings tomorrow. cos his video is soooooooooooooooo cute~~ haha. realli lehs. its so cute`-

M4: 林昱志 sang 王力宏's "唯一". well he must be a very big leehom fan as well, from forever love last time to weiyi this time. haha. anyway i wonder why fangzhonghua and lifeihui are so against him choosing difficult songs! i mean if he manages to pull it off well won't it be very very very good for him? well he kinda got blasted by them for singing such difficult songs which require a lot of 轉音 and head voice... while liweisong and xuhuanliang only commented on his poor microphone control which resulted in his voice overpowering the background music at times. (which i agree with cos the "baby" in the chorus was so loud that it sounded erm. weird). and when the scores were announced fangzhonghua and lifeihui gave him vv high (abt 7 to 7.5) while liweisong and xuhuanliang gave him 5.5 and 5.0. weird. but anyway he got 32.5.. an improvement from forever love's 31 lahs.

their duet was 王力宏's "愛的就是你" anyway, which was very very very comfortable to watch cos they had excellent chemistry onstage.

after that went to mcpherson kopitiam to eat with sally and adeline. ordered bbq stingray cos i was feeling fhungry. and the uncle is weird. firstly after he brought the stingray over he said that the total price is $10.50. cos the stingray cost $10 while the rice cost $0.50 mah. then while i was digging out coins from my wallet he said nevermind charge me $10.20 can liaos. then i dug out $0.20 gif him. and after he returned with the bowl of rice he returned me the $0.20 saying that nvm he dont charge me for the rice. i mean wth lah. haha. can he make up his mind?!? totally lameified!

went home after that and reached home at abt 11:40pm. wanted to meet the cls if they decided to thon but in the end they didnt. so i went home lorS.

actualli nth much today. woke up earlie, listened to ufm and yes 933 charts. got totally bored out of my mind cos the new concept of announcing 933 charts is totally entirely boring. played maple in the afternoon. and went kbox at marine parade at night with adeline. haha. sang from 7.30pm all the way till around 12.30am or so when she had to go home. and all the while nobody came to chase us away though the receptionist said we were only to sing until 11pm. haha. i think if she did not have to reach home that early we could have sung all the way till 3am when the kbox branch closes! haha. but never mind`~

went to see penny dai at her autograph session! she sang "ai feng le" and "wang qian fei".. and i got her autograph somemore. haha. her autograph looks nice lehs. very big de. haha. but very few people turned up (i tink around 200?) though, despite the incessant advertisements for the autograph session on television. haha. shows how popular she is in singapore huh?

but i wonder why after watching her live i didnt feel the excitement of really getting her autograph or get the urge to put her album in my radio on repeat mode. first time leHs.. previously for practically everybody whos autographs i've gotten.. after watching them perform live i got the urge to listen to the albums till they lan diao. ahha. like FIR/taozhe/guangliang/fishleong etc etc etc. but penny dont have. sianzzz

and anyway my impression of her dipped after i watched her on tv on yingwanjinyouwanli!!! cos she said the exact same thing to introduce "wang qian fei" as what she said in the j8 autograph session. huMphs. make me think that she so gan3 xing4 to think of such ways to introduce her song. in the end its recycled over and over again. i tink it has been used countless times in taiwan oso liaoz. =zzzz so kukus rite

ahs annual sporttx meet! of course i have to say that in ahs' sportxx meet the sports events arent exactly the zhongdian. haha. the main thing is the cheering competition. i mean. thats the last thing they announce leH! even after the results of the teacher's events and all the student events. shows that its kind of the ya1 zhou2 competition. haha.

CDS WON CHEERING CHAMPS!

thats like finally! after not winning for 2 years. so we are the champs for 2000/2001/2002/2005. didnt win for the past two years. cannot realli remember if we got second for 2003 and 2004 or not but thats not the point. the whole main point is that we won the cheering competition! and that kind of roxxx doesnt it?

yep..but anyway i went back to see cheering. cos my exams had just ended and i wanted to go back and cheer my voice hoarse. haha. i have to say that they should AUDITION and CHOOSE proper sports day commentators for sports day. what the heck. the commentators this year totally suck can?!?

firstly they are totally lame. "look! look at the yellow colour person! running faster than a speeding bullet!" and comments such as these were common. puH-lease can u guys act your age and comment properly on the events. i mean.. things like that should be left to those ppl doing voiceovers for animated superhero action films or cartoons right. kukUs.

secondly they are totally offensive. "seriously i think CO's cheering is just about the same as CDS". (after english drama's stint which featured the banana dance) "honestly guys, do you like bananas?". although they say that they are just tongue-in-cheek comments which were not meant to be judgmental at all. can you guys go to hell please.

thirdly they sound like they are holding their own personal concerts. from cadbury song to beat-boxing and whatever not. thats like so duuuuh. and they imitated indians talking. which is like kinda racist can.

oh wells. enough of the commentators. anyway this year sports day dont have bombings. haha. appears that the juniors are such peace-loving people. haha.

well im so happy cos school does not start until next wednesday. haha yeah next tuesday is stil a holidae for tj ppl! rox rox rox. juz that things will be disastrous again come wednesday. cos i tink wil get back results liao arGh.

here's a summary of my thoughts regarding each of the papers.

PHYSICS

bright and early monday morning. physics paper. LT1. i totally hate the chair i was sitting at can. cos it's a freaking rocking chair. and i was practically rocking through the entire paper. urgh. and the chair made me more pissed than i would have been. haha. cos this is officially the hardest i have ever studied for physics since my schooling days started 14 years ago in nursery (ok fine i knoe i onli began studying physics as a subject in sec3. but i want to make my feat seem more remarkable haha). and the paper was fhard and there was totally not enough time to finish. and when i was staring at the stupid quantum physics question i totally forgot about the formula E = Nhf. and when i saw analogue electronics i just skipped it totally. haha. i am so dead. originally i was aiming for at least a C. now i will be happy with an E.

and i feel so cheated cos i spent practically the entire holdays mugging for physics! i should have just spent erm 2 days and get it over and done with. HAIZ. and i could have spent the rest of the time slacking even more.

GENERAL PAPER

totally freaked out for gp. haha. cos mdm lim said that its going to be very difficult. but in the end it was still okay lah. though i totally screwed up the essay. urgh. i was so looking forward to doing some essay question on media. then being the ba1 gua4 person i am i can throw in alot of examples on entertainment and blah blah blah. and in the end the only thing which came remotely close to media was journalism. which i dont have a freaking clue about what to write.

so i settled for the next best choice lo. tourism. not that it is very good either. i only have 3 points for the question. (the question i did was: what challenges does the tourism industry face today? or something to that extent) and that is very little lah. how the hell am i going to score high for content when i only have THREE points? and its universally known that my language mark is always horrendous. the highest i've ever got for language in gp essays was like 11 or 12 only? that's like so little. officially doomed. i shall be happy if i can get more than 24 or 25.

but anyway from this moment on i promise to listen to what my GP teacher says, and follow whatever tips she gives which will help to improve my GP standards. cos i did look through some essay reports and read some of the additional reading materials provided by the school. and i found a lot of difficult words which i did not know. so i check dictionary lo.

and it turns out that a lot of these words turned up in the comprehension. haha. like advocates. impunity. inexorable. etc etc etc. makes rephrasing my answer much more easier. so im rather confident for my comprehension lah. ahha. hopefulli wil score well =.=

after which was a break of 2 days without papers when i had to start pia-ing for chemistry cos i hadn't started yet!

CHEMISTRY

thought it would be very hard cos my chem tcher promised a treat if the entire class passes. note that its just pass and not a minimum criteria of C or D or something. and....... structured questions was still okay cos they were relatively doable. but the ESSAY QUESTIONS were total shit. kinetics, ionic equilibrium etc questions are all so fhard. and i had no time to draw the compounds for my organic chem deductive questions out though I KNEW HOW TO DO THE DEDUCTIVE QUESTION FOR ONCE. haha all those memorising of the stupid reagents and conditions and reactions did pay off i guess.

and i think im a very considerate person cos even though i didnt have time to do the biochem question i still handed in a erm. blank paper (the qn was to be handed in separately) so as to facilitate counting of scripts. seeseeseeseeseeseesee im so nice rite =)

hoping and praying that i will get 50 marks or more.

and for once i miss MCQ questions totally. cos my chemistry paper did not have any sign of MCQs at all. what the hell.

MATHEMATICS

im quite satisfied lah. considering that i didnt spend a lot of time pia-ing maths nor did i spend a lot of time practising or what. just tried to cram as much formulae into my head as possible during the time after the chemistry paper and before the maths paper. lost 13 marks already cos i did not do. haha. cos im still as blur and stupid and dumb as it can get regarding vectors, where i don't understand a single shit. except how to find point of intersection. haha. the rest were still okay lah. hopefully there would not be that many careless mistakes!

i want an A! or at least a B for maths. haha. and i would be =)

the way they announce the results regarding who got booted for project superstar makes me feel very gan3 shang1! haha. all the sad songs in the final journey video, the sad piano piece in the background, all the tears.. so saddening. and wendy is so ke lian. though she was not very good during her performance lah. but u c her so sick and all haha. so ke lian. and dai ailing is out too. though i tink it was more because she chose the wrong song than because she sucks totally. cos i think she's quite good.

oh well i guess now that dai ailing is out, even if the other contestants sing dai ailing songs it won't be as remarkable liao.. haha. i was waiting for dai ailing to sing dai ailing songs! ok im sorry if its getting confusing but i mean dai ailing as in the taiwanese singer who already has 2 albums under her belt. yeah its the same name same writing and everything. ok thats so not the point.

oh wells. whatever it is i still feel pissed that chen jiaxin is out. her hui zhe chi bang de nv hai was really good lah. haiz i agree with what everyone is saying on message boards. haha. she is the jessea thyidor of project superstar.

as for the guys william tanoto and caiyiwei were out. not much comments cos im neutral towards both of them. though im shocked that william tanoto got kicked out cos his score was like totally the highest (37/50) among ALL the male and female contestants. i guess he dont have fans to vote for him. haha.

oh wells. anyways.

can the contestants sing songs from a larger variety of singers?

it gets very boring when you keep hearing songs from the same singers when there are supposed to be like hordes of singers out there who's songs can be sung (but are not sung). esp when you don't really like coco lee and they keep singing coco lee songs. arGh.

just mugged finish physics. mugged as in read notes + write notes + memorise formulae and everything. never touch past year paper or do tys though. but i have never spent so much time and effort on physics before in my entire life. serious. last time i realli heck physics one. haha. now if i don't get at least a C i think i will just go n cry or something. LOL

arrrrrh. time to do some serious reading for GP. anything less than B3 im going to erm. actually i donnoe what im going to do. lol.

went to FIR's autograph session at IMM carpark today with kelvin. the thing is that the place isnt even a quarter as crowded as last year's debut album autograph session at west mall. waning popularity? nah i believe its more due to the lack of publicity for the autograph session this time round. haha. i didnt even know about it laRh, until kelvin chanced upon the news over the radio and told me =x

no tv ads (or maybe there were just that TV is too flooded with guomeimei and oudeyang for people to notice about FIR). no magazine ads. how the hell do they want people to know about it =.=

still remember last year's session at west mall haha the queue was so damn freaking long that it curved all around the first floor and extended all the way until bukit batok MRT station! and this year we do not need to even wait for 45 minutes and we could get their autographs. haha.

and i wonder why they are so passionate about places in the west of singapore so much so that they keep going there for autograph sessions. come to the east can. tampines mall has an underused open plaza!! =.= i think onli caichunjia and sylvestersim have been there? plus the screening of the FA cup final and lord of the rings.

ok we were rather punctual in the sense that we reached at 4pm. haha. and they were airing their first album songs on repeat mode! really! there was 'Revolution'. 'You Make Me Want To Fall In Love'. the outro for the first album. the intro for the first album. 'Fly Away'. 'Lydia'. i found it kinda weird that they would be airing FIR's first album songs in a 音樂簽唱會 for their second album?

before FIR came out, the top three finalists of the FIR karaoke competition performed. the third place person sang 'You Make Me Want To Fall In Love'. haha actually she's very good lah. cos while she sang she kinda injected feeling into the song.. and made a rather dull and bland song sound nice. just that when she reached the high notes in the bridge the song went all over the place and practically fell apart. oh yar kinda pity her oso. cos while she was performing FIR reached IMM and as they were escorted (in public view) into the building ppl were screaming for FIR. haha.

the second placed person sang "我要飛".. nothing to talk about her. just that she's very high when singing that song keep jumping all over the place. haha. but its a high song in the first place what. ok im crapping so that the comments for her can be a little longer

and finally the 1st placed person. its a fifteen-going-on-sixteen-year-old MALE who sang '無限'. for faye's parts HE SANG IN THE SAME KEY AS FAYE for goodness sake. and u can imagine how high faye's voice is lah. ok i guess its mostly due to his unbroken voice and i doubt he will be able to sing like that when he's like 20 or something?

then FIR came out and it was time for them to perform! yays!

after that went to IMM for dinnerrr before embarking on a tour around the shopping centre cos both of us have never been there before!

there is a car exhibit of the car which jay drove in the moviee and i have pictures of it in my handphone!!! ok to all jay fans and all "頭文字D" fans maybe u all can make a trip down to IMM and take a look at the nicenicenicenice car. budden sadly the area around the car is cordoned off lest pervertic fans make an attempt to carress the car. or drool saliva all over the car or something. and there are posters of "頭文字D" and jay chou and edison chen all over the place

and i saw a lovelyy black and white portable radio which costs 200+ bucks at sony gallery which i wannnnnn cos it looks so wonderfully chic and nice and cool and -insert whatever positive adjective here-

and IMM is indeed a very very very happening place cos other than FIR and initial D stuffiex they also hosted POWER RANGERS. haha. and the whole 1st floor atrium was packed with kids. and the corridors along the 2nd and 3rd floor were packed with people ranging from teenagers to middle-aged people who have interests in power rangerrs.

after that took a shuttle bus to boon lay and walked around jurong point. i wonder why foreign indian workers congregate at boon lay MRT/the field besides boon lay interchange. from what we saw just now there were like at least 100 foreign indian workers there? and the whole place seemed to reek of nestle koko krunch. serious. from outside the MRT station to the bus interchange to the place we alighted the shuttle bus. at least jurong point doesn't stink!

on the wayy back another blog-worthy incident happened. at dover mrt station, the stinky stinko pungent odour of burning rubber engulfed the carriage we were in (and i think it sorta engulfed the entire mrt too). it stinks totally can if you want to imagine the smell you can just go and burn all the wires in your house or something and SMELL the horrendous smell. as the train continued its journey the odour diffused away through the ventilation airducts and all. but a few stations later when the doors opened the air was filled with that disgusting smell again.

it was that bad that kelvin n i decided to alight the train totally at tanjong pagar and wait for the next train to arrive. whats with spending 8 minutes of our lives waiting for another train lest run the danger of fainting from breathing in excessive exhaust fumes or something right? other than us there were other people who also decided to alight and wait for the next train.

but 2 of the people who alighted with us decided to scare the other passengers on board (not including us cos we kinda figured out what it was by then) by announcing audibly to everyone that it was probably of burning rubber and burning wires. think they scared the shit out of other passengers including some aunties who decided to stay put. and SMRT proved to be efficient cos a member of the SMRT staff appeared on the platforms to check out the situation. and he explained what happened when we asked. instead of giving us some baba kuku face or something he explained nicely. haha. or maybe he's just afraid ppl go and complain or something lolx

ccc chalet-camp 2005.... 就這樣結束...

just reached home from ccc chalet-camp and i'm back here to blog about it like.. kinda immediately! haha i am so efficient ain't i? lol!

ok so yesterday we gathered at the pavilion opposite tjc (yah that particular pavilion where OGLs so absolutely love to bring their OGs for OG lunch) at the bright and early time of 9.00am! kinda sad cos attendance was abit sad lah cos a lot of people have been falling sick over the past few days/weeks! i officially declare this the 集體生病 season! but anyway after that we split into groups then had briefing. my group not-that-bad lah. got me jodi esther anni (yah i wonder why all the AHSCDS year twos are together in one group but nvm) roujing venessa with our beloved group leaders being sinyee and nyappy!

lol i so have to mention the group name cos i suggested it upon some inspiration given by esther!

imagine if some other people decides to happily ask us for our group name.

"eH! 你們的group name是什麼?!?"
"我們叫... 我們叫!"

ok thats so not funny but nvm we like it cos its so lame.

after that it was 環島 aka amazing race time! format of this amazing race would be that each of the three groups would go to a different designated region, before "meeting back" at a focal point when all tasks have been completed. of course if some groups finish faster they will meet back at the focal point earlier and finish the task there (the task is kinda lame anyway) and can move back to the finishing point first! ok im not sure if you get what i mean. but thats not the point. haha. im so going to dedicate at least 1/2 of this entry to 環-region. i've so decided its not 環島 but 環region cos we are moving about a small region only. haha. not funny. never mind.

there was queenstown-commonwealth & angmokio-bishan & hougang-sengkang-punggol! and our group kena-ed hougang-sengkang-punggol. actually its not bad lah actually cos ours is considerably the nearest from bedok.. take mrt to tampines and take a 20-minute bus ride on 27 and we are in sengkang! yays! so even though we have to suffer from some dodo 10 minute penalty but i tink we were the first to reach the first station.

and our beloved facilitator is zhanners lim nongbao!

during this chalet i realised two things about limzhanting!

#1: for some reason i donnoe, i find his hair very nice to ruffle! haha go try it when you are free and when you see him around or something ok! =D
#2: he has a knack of walking around shamelessly in public holding a chopper not even wrapped up in any newspaper! (ok that was so diulian go read the amazing race portion for more details)

anyway, special thanks to SBS bus services for co-operating very kindly with us, and for the undeniable chemistry the company had with our group yesterday. cos most of the buses, very kindly, came exactly at the moment we needed them so basically we had almost zero waiting time for buses! amazing if only buses were kinder like. throughout the rest of my life. haha.

so after the huandao we all had slacking time when we all kinda hogged the tv watching zongyidageda reruns before moving up to play one round of hunter and bear. after that was telematch which consisted of some miniature "bonding" kinda games lah actually. haha. the 黑白配-with-splashing-water was fun!!!

played bear and hunter (AGAIN) after telematch until about 7pm. i donnoe if that inspired the 20-odd years old angmoh-speaking people living two chalets away from us to play bear and hunter too cos they gathered and started playing at about 9pm.

ate bbq food cos.. got BBQ food! then hogged tv again from about 7pm till 12am lidat. we all watched the dumbdumb tongxinyuan show.. meilixinzicai.. jueduisuperstar.. 1/2 hour of yinchayangcuo.. lost and that channel u serial which i donnoe the name. haha.

ok after the tv marathon i've some comments to make:

1. many of the tongxinyuan characters are total retards and im not taking about dayang
2. people who take part in meilixinzicai for the makeovers actually come out looking more unnatural and kinda uglier
3. they anyhow let people into the 2nd audition round of jueduisuperstar. i mean some of their singing were totally out of tune and totally flat?
4. WHO WOULD EXPECT ENTERING THE TOP 24 WHEN YOU SING SONGS WHICH SO TOTALLY DO NOT SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT LIKE kan wo 72 bian?
5. that guy who gave flowers on stage to the female participant (whom quan yifeng talked to) was from AHS sports class and was from TJ
6. lost is so damn freaking nice

ok get my point? lost is so damn freaking nice that even people who don't look like they will watch such suspense shows like kohchiatying said its good.

then we went to CHANGI VILLAGE! actually the main purpose was to eat supper lah. but we came across 4 or 5 transvestites loitering about the changi village carpark.. beside the hawker centre.. obviously waiting for some guys to approach them. haha. they amaze me by how hiao they look.. glittery handbags and all.

after that we ate lo. ate the renowned changi village nasi lemak. drank milo dinosaur which kinda rocks actually! and the whole place is infested with cats cats cats cats cats cats cats cats cats cats cats cats and more cats i think got at least 100 there =x

and i felt that i've sinned terribly can you believe it. cos can you imagine eating such high-carbohydrate + oily (look at the chicken wings!) food at 12 midnight? surely won't put on 10 million tonnes one lah =( ok and thats not the only thing haha i feel guilty for taking the lives of a cockroach and about one billion ants at the chalet. cos its kinda insect infested u c. haha.

went back to the chalet, gambled blackjack (with small bets of course) and i ended losing > $1.50. my luck kinda sucks lo. after that played about 4 more hours of bear and hunter (again) yayaayaya that CCC trademark game? realise that i have psychic powers cos sometimes when im just a normal cute little villager i could still go on a killing spree pin-pointing out all the bears! wahahahah and that went on for about 3 or 4 rounds before i unfortunately lost my touch.

slept at 6:45am. woke up at 7:45am. which brings the total amount of sleep to 1 hour! weee. after that was breakfast then pack-up time.. then go home lo!

I HAVE TO SAY THAT I HAVE TO START LOOKING OUT FOR DISGUSTING THINGS IN FRONT OF ME AS I WALK. cos as of today my poor pair of slippers have encounted dropped dessert and some amount of puke. and my poor feet killed 10 small ants or so? which brings me to the point that if you notice in my wishlist i want a new pair of slippers!

okay thats so not the point.. all in all i have to say that it was a job well done by the new exco who planned the camp! cos its really very fun =) jiayou for all other events coming up in your new term ok!

ok so here's what happened, in chronological order according to the stations we went, during the 環-region game which was damn spastic but very fun i have to say. of course its tiring lah but thats not the point haha.

Station #1: Compass Point

Route: Take MRT from Bedok to Tampines, Bus 27 from Tampines to Compass Point.
Task:

Option 1 - 排成一条直线﹐沿著购物中心外的走廊非常慢地低头走着，走的时候要显得沮丧
Option 2 - 排成一条直线﹐沿著购物中心外的走廊步操

步操步骤:
1) (操三步)
2) 领队喊 "I LOVE COMPASS POINT!"
3) (操三步)
4) 领队喊 "I LOVE SENGKANG!"
5) (操三步)
6) 领队喊 "WE ARE PROUD TO BE HERE!"
7) REPEAT ONCE

Comments:- Of course, being the very very very very efficient people we are we did the 2nd option rite. 1st option still nid to walk 非常慢-ly so horrendous waste our time only grrr. anw luckily this happened at like 10:00am in the morning or so, with most shops in the shopping centres not opened yet and very little people around the outside of the shopping centre so this was completed very easily haha. oh ya i led the marching so i had to do the shouting lol =.=

Station #2: Sengkang LRT West Loop

Route: Run to sengkang LRT station. given that sengkang MRT and LRT are directly connected to compass point you don't expect us to like take a taxi there ritE..

Task:

请在乘搭 (西向) 轻轨列车的路途中找出以下四个地点指标:
1. 一个注明 "咖啡店/COFFEESHOP" 的告示牌
2. 一个注明 "SENGKANG WEST WAY" 的路牌
3. 一座神像
4. 一个图案 which looks like a mercedez-benz logo

Comments: time-wasting task! took the west loop train which started from the 8th station going backwards to the 1st station. esp with zhanners this kind of person hor.. the things he ask us to spot can't be that easy one. roujing found the "sengkang west way" road sign and it was so bimbimly minulsculely minutely SMALL when you see it from the LRT that its horrendous. then found the coffeeshop sign. then zhanners said that the other time he tried he took the train which started from the 1st station going towards the 8th station and said it would be damn easier. so of course since we nv finish the task we have to do again rite. so we waited lo. and waited. and waited. and waited. and waited. and the stupid train refuses to come i tink it has broken down somewhere like how LRTs usually behave. or the train is simply not in service that early in the day. lol. so zhanners being the kind-hearted person gave us the pts lol

oh yar along this loop got 3 stations which are totally not in use. and i wonder why they build those stations for. sureli very economically viable one (and i dont study econs!). cos to the left AND to the right of the station.. its all marshes and scorched bushes and whatever. BUSH FIRE HAZARD!

Station #3: Rivervale Mall

Clue: 河流 + (8x3 + 2x1 + 5x3 + 3x2) + (6255)

Route: Took LRT (again) from Sengkang LRT to Rumbia (such a funny cute lil name =x)

Task: Buy a cup of sweet corn from one of the shops and count the number of corn in the cup.

Comments: STUPID it took us so LONG to get to that freaking place and all we had to do was count CORN which we completed in about < 5 minutes!!!

Station #4: Punggol Interchange

Route: Took LRT back to Sengkang and transferred to MRT to Punggol MRT

Task: Do a choice of either one of three options - a Mathematics C (AP/GP) question, an economics question and a GP essay of at least 200 words.

Comments: i think limzhanting can become a teacher i seriously think he gets the kick out of setting questions!

Station #5: Punggol Plaza

Clue: GANOPAG PLULZ

Route: Took Bus No 62 for four bus stops.

Task: 请到 "口福" 食阁的其中一个鸡饭摊位，和摊主哈啦一下，并说: "我要一盘鸡饭，不要鸡，还有一碟辣椒，不要辣"。把饭吃完。
Comments: actually this is quite okay lah. if not for the bobo auntie whos at the cashier taking orders. the young guy chopping the chicken actually laughed when the order was made lo. shows that he has a sense of humour lah. not like the fpissed auntie who black-faced all of us horrendously. =z why take life so seriously right. its not as if we went when you had people queueing up behind us or something. if so ok lah its our fault. but thats so totally not the case. but nevermind cos i doubt i will ever step into punggol plaza ever again in my entire life.

Task:

Option 1 - 到 MINI TOONS 的 CANDY BAR 挑选一粒糖果，并装笨笨地拿去付钱。很明显的，CASHIER 是不会让你构买的 (MINIMUM 100 GRAMS, 一粒糖最多 5 GRAMS)。这时，你必须和她哈拉 10 SECONDS, 央求她让你买下，因为你实在太想吃那一粒糖果了。直到她再拒绝时，时，才沮丧地放回糖果。(一组可派一派一两个勇敢的代表去做这个神圣的任务，但整组都必须随行)

Comments: we did the mini toons task haha. these 2 were supposedly the most challenging of all cos the tasks were allocated the highest amount of points. but actually its not difficult at all lo i tink the people there are trained to handle such nonsensical bimbims like us who actualli wan to buy one small piece of sweet. i tink the lee hwa jewellery one will be so much more embarrassing but of course we would choose the easier one right? =z

Station #7: Hougang Plaza

Clue: (香港不香，就要有后) + 大厦

Route: Run there lah its within walking distance ok the distance is even shorter than 2.4

Task: 请从首得惠 (zhanting act pro lo everything oso insist in typing in chinese.. even SHOP N SAVE) 超级市场购买一粒大西瓜，同心协力把它给吃了

Comments: so for this task zhanners brought his very very very very very very very sharp chopper so that the watermelon can be sliced and eaten without having to throw it onto the floor or something to eat it. so everything was fine. he took out his knife. esther goh cut the watermelon (and it was damn sharp). esther goh passed the chopper back to zhanting. zhanting wants to wash the knife. he walks around with the knife in hand going about looking for a toilet, without bothering to wrap it up in newspaper or anything. people stare at him in "horror". he suddenly realise that its wrong and returned to wrap it up. zhanting donwan to wash anymore.

and this was the toughest task lah. imagine so few people having to rush finish eating one big watermelon? and after that we had to RUN all the way back to the mrt station! ok fine we wanted to run. haha. we could have walked if we wanted to. but we donwan to lose marhs!

Bonus Station #1: Harbourfront Plaza

Task: Two people re-enact the classic Jack and Rose "Titanic" scene while the rest of the people sing My Heart Will Go On in the background.

Comments: still okay lah cos not many people were around anyways

ok i think i today very 高产量 after MIA for about one week i am back with three spanking new entries within the span of 24 hours! weeeeeeee! maebe if im a 孕妇 i wil gif birth to septuplets. wahahaha.

well thats sooooooo not the point... cos its time to blog about the junior treat senior day! and not about some 孕妇 who will have a hard time giving birth cos of 7 babies. ok no link again lemme get back to the topic.

so jodi ernnie liwei huimin charlotte me + zhenbin nyappy sinyee met at kovan mrt at 4pm. ok fine slightly after 4pm that is. cos me nyappy and zhenbin were late! oooops. supposedly we were suppose to go bowling budden my batch ppl were very ultra super extremely enthu about going to kboxxx!!! so in the end we didnt go bowling as planned by the juniors but we went kbox instead. of course we paid for kbox by ourselves lah we are not so evil people to 敲诈 our juniors lidat okay!

found out that the distance between hougang mrt and hougang plaza (where kbox is) is at least thirty times the distance between tampines mrt and pavillion (where the tampines kbox is). but thats so not the point cos.. well thats so not the point

flashback to last year junior-treat-senior day oso go kbox (but at suntec's branch though). haha last year the room was so damn freaking big larh but the amount of space was just about enough. this year the kbox room shrunk by about 1/4 and the amount of space is just about enough. haizzzzz! the number of people in comm is shrinking.. and shrinking.. and SHRINKING! ARGH to the next batch people muz 拉 more ppl into CCC next year oKaE!!!

but anyway kbox was extremely fun!!! cos we sang lotsa lotsa lotsa lotsa lotsa songs! and liwei was gushing and gushing and gushing and gushing and gushing over 施文斌 and his 忘不了 song. =.= and beloved nyappy sing so little so bad humpHs but nvm. zhenbin sang alot and thats kinda surprising cos i nv reali hear him sing before hahaha he loves SHE! and we kinda pissed the person off i guess cos we r very mafan cos we kip refilling and refilling and refilling the tidbits!!

okay if you get the feeling that i don reali knoe wat to type and im kinda like trying to force things out to type, your feeling is rite. haha. i mean what interesting things can you do at kbox except sing right. ok though i manage to throw our faces a little by making TWINS' medley of children songs at some australia concert the very last song when we left haha hopefuli the person come in will see the TWINS' medley lololol and peng to death

after that went to sengkang for the 压轴 event of the day!!! which is dinnerrr at the function room of compass heights. which is the condominium above compass point! i have to say that the place is so damn freaking class lah. and its very cool living above a shopping centre with almost everything!

yeps but anyway dinner was extremely nice!! cos the food prepared was like home-cooked and all. can tell that they all really 花心思 into it lah. though it may not exactly be very very expensive like last yr when we all went to nooch for dinner on junior-treat-senior day, but the 感觉 is definitely different lahs. this year we could stay inside the f(x) room laming and talking and digging out scandals after dinner and watching 同心圆 on tv. oooooo okay to protect the parties involved no names shall be mentioned in this entry! =) but all in all its very heart-warming cos got that kind of 家的感觉

ooooooo and poor zhanners nongbao is SICK take care and get well soon make sure your fever and flu subsides by the camp arH! =)

all in all i have to say that today was very well planned!! great job 29th ccc exco! =) im looking forward to even better things during the chalet-camp and of course the best 欢送会 ever in the history of ccc!

yadayadayadax so there's this membership thing going on for all AHS graudates cum alumni. if you wish to join the official alumni club u have to go download some membership form and fill it up and post it back to the school before you are *officially* in the "Anglican High School Alumni Association".

but there's a catch!

this whole thing sounds like a BLOODY SCAM (quoting the words of a ms ****** c*** who-shall-not-be-named lest she accuses me of making her go down smelly in the history of AHS alumni. but anywaes i shall credit some of the terms used in this blog entry to this mysterious person too. cos its sort of like lifted off from an MSN conversation).

#1: Membership fee is free for first 3 years of graduation, and thereafter collectable S$12.00 per year.

lol this sounds so much like a terrible ripoff!!! makes me feel like joining for one year (cos its already been the 2nd year since i graduate) before quitting next year. but the thing is i think its some "join for life" thing going on cos its no where stated on the website or in the form that you can quit whenever you want to.

so imagine you manage to live till the ripe old age of 80 years old and you are still paying $$ to the school for some who-knows-what purpose. ok so you start paying when you are 19yo. that means you will haf officially donated some $732 to the school! the money is not exactly the problem la. cos when u multiply it lidat come to think of it $732 isnt very much oso. though $12 a year sounds like a lot lol.

the whole zhong dian is that its not stated anywhere on the form or on the website what they are using the moolah for! makes me suspect that they may be using the money to build more lovely beautiful fountains all around the school. then they can change the school name from sheng zhong to pen shui zhong xue (aka pen zhong)! then we can all be fountainers! instead of ahsians or anglicans or something. wahahahaha (also quoting the words of a ms ****** c*** who-shall-not-be-named lest she accuses me of making her go down smelly in the history of AHS alumni)

or they may put the money to good use in the end by using it to air-condition the school hall or something.
but the thing is they shld let ppl knoe where the money is going right? then it won't sound like some "bloody scam" anymoRe!!!

lol this association name is so terribly funny laR! not that i must say. haha made me laugh until pengz. OLD SCHOLARS. firstly how old can the "scholars" in the association be! and secondly the usage of the term "scholars" make it seem so funny for some reason i cannot fathom. horribly kukusly dodo.

#3: The roles of the alumni

1. Demonstrate loyalty for future generations by supporting the school

lol yeah this can certainly be easily achieved by making alumni provide the school with just what it needs! $$$$$$$$. then the school doesnt nid to force their own students studying there to take part in some donation drive anymore. u knoe.. printing all those cards like what NKF always does.. den nid to ask ppl to donate money? ya that kind of thing.

or the school does not need to ask students to buy those fugly AHS BEARS anymore. (i threw mine away liaos anyway! cos they have been sitting around collecting dust for so long that they got so dusty that its absolutely impossible to wash!)

2. Provide the school with a sense of history

yeah u can achieve this simply by visiting the school often enough as you grow older and older. even when you live till the ripe old age of 100 years old (im being very very optimistic here) and are suffering from arthritis and brittle bones and whatever illnesses a 100-yo person can suffer you would willingly climb that slope up from tanah merah mrt station OR climb those steps from "chang cheng" up to the school often enough to say and wave helloooo to the kiddos studying there. maebe the new principal (whoever it may be) will decide to honour you by saying that "Mr/Mrs/Ms XXX was a student here at Anglican High School from a century ago!" wow totally amazing. then you can be the special guests to celebrate Anglican High School's 130th Anniversary!

That's provided you are not already lying six feet under, or have been incinerated into ashes and are lying in some urn of course.

OR if you become a nice cute little vampire u can go on and celebrate AHS' 230th, 330th, 430th............. anniversary. provided you dont get staked by some fa3 shi1 in the meantime

kinda pissed with how slow some record companies are when it comes to releasing albums in singapore. ok fine so some albums 全亞洲同步發行 but these are usually more "sought after" singers such as jay stefanie energy fir jolin etc. so fan weiqi's and huang yida's album is already out in taiwan as of friday but its still not released in singapore yet when i went to see!!! aRgh. yida's new song is so damn nice. nvm i shall continue listening to my downloaded 專屬密碼 while i wait for the album.

and anyway speaking of chinese pop music i seriousli wonder how kukusly dodo those people who actually vote for the yes 933 charts can get. look at how that stupid kokbeebee song actually flew up the charts this week from 10th to 3rd!!! aaaargh is it really THAT nice i cant imagine how people will actually spend money voting for such a song!

anyway yesterday was AHSCDS alumni dinner (ok fine its effectively the day before now cos its past 12 already)! onli that last nights dinner started at 8pm for some reasons of unforeseen circumstances which managed to piss some people of and stress some people out and make some people get gastritis! ok but nvm lets not talk about that. and apart from that minghan kinda injured himself.. hope you r okay now =)

but other than that its just a usual alumni dinner. eat then have discussion lo. but its not bad hearing how 重視 CDS is now in AHS. now there are auditions for primary six kiddos.. and if they are good enough and r selected they will be able to enter AHS via CDS even if their marks cannot make it! wow how great is that lo! haha now its no longer sports sports and sports groups who have that privilege can.

and my batch n mindan batch r suppose to b in charge of xiangying2007's alumni show! aaaaarh ok lets just say its quite eventful cos of some misunderstandings here and there but at least now its all settled. reach home at 12:50am cos after the alumni dinner mindan jodi andrew me went 85 to tok about xiangying2007 stuff. yaaa i knoe its kinda early even when xiangying2005 isnt over yet but its always better to lay things out early rite. given the humongously massive amounts of expectations we have to live up to.

ok going back to AHS kinda makes me miss AHS a little. sadly the principal is so superly dodo now. i thot mr wang would be the worst it can get. sadly with all those rumours floating around about the new principal i have to say that its even worst liaos aaaah

for those who are interested, my class lost the captain's balls finals to 37/04. but never mind cos after all its still great to be overall 2nd in the entire level out of 37 classes. i mean.. compare it to being placed at some kuku position 2/37 is actually very good liaos right? =)

after tt went eat macdonalds. got served by a nooby cashier with low efficiency. bought that bleargh "Best Male Hits" cd with the extra value meal for an extra $3. Oh wells here is the tracklist:

so TJ lost to RJ for both the badminton 'A' divisions guys and girls final... a bit disappointed lah but what matters is that the badminton team has done their best liaos.. and also the fact that the TJ spirit really rocked the toa payoh stadium yesterday! haha screamed and shouted and screamed and shouted. quite surprised that i havent lost my voice yet.. lol

hmm MJ has their day off from school today cos MJ beat VJ in the soccer match finals.. wah laos so good.. can have early holidays! but nvm the thing is that TJ will get our long-overdue day off in the third term after the JCTs (well as promised by the VP). and this comes after an excellent sports season with four sports in top 2, and six in top 4 (including the four in top 2 i guess).

so carrie underwood won american idol.. quite deserving i guess, cos well she's definitely one of the more technically-gifted contestants in the top 12 this season.... though i have to say that she has as much stage presence as probably a pack of sheep strolling about on the fields of a farm.. besides she hasn't even gotten into the bottom 3 before in her entire stint on american idol! shows how strong her fanbase is. looks like she will probably "go on and sell more records than any other Idol contestant" now that she has already "won the competition" (quoted from Simon Cowell).

but her win did not really come as a surprise given how much she has been shown throughout the competition. Pimping by the american idol producers for her to win? oooo i smell a conspiracy here. Haha! but nonetheless i love the album recorded version of her "Independence Day"!

and rox rox i loved the finale show. mikalah gordon looks so much better with her new look -- her new tan and the shorter blonde hair she has now. she was so entertaining in her stint as the "reporter" on the red carpet before the show! haha. but i still insist that she cant really sing ooops =x and anyway the recaps of the American Idol season had a lot a lot a lot a lot of lindsey! "and of course there was some talent..." *flash to lindsey's audition singing standing right next to me* haha. oh yah i love lindsey's album recorded version of "knock on wood" too.

oh wellls.. time to rot without much reality television programmes in the june holidays! american idol has ended. the amazing race has ended. survivor has ended. the apprentice 2 is going to end soon. bAHs!!

yays!!! 04/04 is officially the delta house champions for captains' ball! great job guys =)

but still i was totally pissed off with some horribly hypocritical ppl who once said that he/she/they do "treasure class bonding time together" and stuff like that, but STILL refuse to turn up to support the class for the sports carnival games, or REFUSE to participate in any of the events today without any other valid reasons whatsoever. by valid i do not mean things like "cos i don wan to come" or "cos i don feel like playing" blah blah. n if u r the person who once said something similar to that before, and YET did not even bother coming to support the earlier frisbee match (let alone the later captains' ball match), BALLS TO YOU. u knoe hu u r kie. =x

anyway there's badminton finals tomorrow! 'A' division males and females. TJ vs RJ. let's hope that TJ will win the championships like how we did for the basketball match yeah? it's time to show our TJ spirit! haha probably gonna cheer till my voice turns hoarse or something again.

first things first, happy birthday jodi and jiaqi!!!

well basicalli today was a rather crappy day larhs. lectures throughout the entire day. physics test totally sucks and i think i will fail (again) though i tink i did put in that teeny weeny little bit more effort for this test as compared to the previous tests. whatever. i'm accustomed to failing liao.

after that had 綠園之夜2005 debrief and 慰勞會.. not much to say as well la. debrief lasted for a rather long time. but anyways the buffet we got for 慰勞會 was not bad. haha. i liked the beehoon. and the chili fishballs. and the spring rolls. and the chicken wings. and the fruit punch. aiya the food was damn nice la. haha. but got leftovers which we gave council -.-

so after eating till i was so darn freaking full it was time for hustings. donnoe lah. but this year's hustings and interview seem to have taken on a rather light-hearted tone as compared to last year's. this year everybody still in the mood to 說說笑笑.. last year it was so damn serious lah. maybe we didnt instil upon that much strictness and solemnness to the entire event or something bahs. still remember how 恐怖 it was last year. haha. everybody sitting in nice neat rows of 3. not as 亂 as this year with the bags all over the place oso.

ok im just commenting on crap stuff first can.

so the hustings went on and on and on. then came the voting time. and the counting of votes time. and then, the commitee list was out and announced to ccc.

and i was quite surprised lah. and very disappointed also. cos there are differences between the elected 6 and the ideal committee which i had in mind... and i somehow believe that the people i had in mind would be more able to 勝任 to the positions as well.. but the thing is i really should not speak too quickly without even obvseriving how they work together as a group planning activities etc.. but whatever it is, i nonetheless still have confidence in the new batch of committee members that they will be able to 推廣 CCC! haha!

hello! i'm finally back to blog after a two-day hiatus whereby i was lazy to blog again. well, what's new... haha but this also means that this blog entry is gonna be very very long! haha. actuali i could split it up into one post per day or something but im just damn lazy lah. haha. and there isn't much of a point either. haha =.=

went to bugis with zhenyang as a premature birthday celebration. (anyway today's zhenyang's birthday! happy birthday zhenyang!) well walked all around bugis trying to find something he likes for his birthday present. and i finally got him a shirt from some shop at the edge. haha. and i ended up getting myself a new t-shirt as well! it has a cute little creature at the front, holding a chainsaw, and leaving a trail of blood behind it as it walks forward. sounds damn cute right? lol! i love the design sia!

after that went to eat ajisen ramen. tried their new dish -- tomato ramen. well what can i say about the taste except that it tastes very.. tomato-ish? and the tomato soup base + the noodles really gave me the spaghetti feeling. ok lah, the taste was not bad lah, only that i would rather eat any of the spicy stuff like volcano ramen anytime. haha.

anywayes i got shi kang jun's album! its really really damn damn damn nice! haha! i seriously think its even better than FIR's album. recommended tracks include 愛中飛行 / 還沒瘋 / 火光 / 麻痺 / Beautiful World / 冷凍 / 穿越時空 / 解藥 / 黑夜過後 which is like 9 out of the 12 tracks in the album lah! haha its reali one of the nicest albums ive heard.

kok bee bee and her legions of fans are amusing!

wells, unless you have been living on the moon or in antarctica or something, you should know who is 郭美美 (aka kok bee bee). well she's the latest local female newcomer in the market, and she has just released an EP with 9 tracks of different versions of the same song 老鼠愛大米... acoustic version, original version, ballad version, karaoke version, dance remix version blah blah blah. and the amazing thing is that she managed to debut at 5th on the RIAS charts. pretty much shows her legions of fans she have gotten yeah? through the horrendously frequent advertisements which have been all over TV -- channel 8, channel U and even kids central (fine i watch kids central ok! thats how i knoe haha)

so it will come as no surprise that some kids actually want their parents to get this album for them right. haha. well on saturday in bugis sembawang music, something very very very very very very very very very amusing happened.

haha and im a kind-hearted evil soul cos when i actualli heard that d daughter actuali wans the jocie album i actually PICKED UP THE JOCIE ALBUM AND STARED AT IT AND PRETENDED TO READ THE WORDS even though i had TOTALLY no interest in that album whatsoever. and the "j-o-c-i-e" word is so big and the album title is so big somemore. but she still cant c what can i do =.=

ok. end of story. but this just shows that with so many albums being titled 老鼠愛大米 and with so many covers of the same song in the market.. its just plain horrendous lo. haha

i slept at 4am. woke up at 11:15am. went to sleep again after having my lunch at 2.30pm. woke up at 9.45pm.

all in all, total sleeping time on sunday 22052005 = 8h15min + 7h15min = 15h30min.

admit it, i am pro aren't i. oso donnoe how the hell i manage to sleep for such lengthy hours in a day. its not as if i was feeling darn tired or something.

woke up at 1330. had my lunch, felt damn bored, went online, and found another bored soul in the form of kelvin who wanted to go out instead of rotting at home. so we decided to go out. haha

went to suntec city cos i was craving for kenny rogers. lol ate until damn full. and he got me the TWINS' album! thanks thanks thanks!!! to kelvin: wil get u sth for ur bdae. juZ that i donnoe wat laH! lol. dont worry k i wil find time to go shopping over the next 2 days =)

anyway carrefour is selling VCDs of 如花 clips from the 綜藝最愛憲 variety show. a set of 10 VCDs is selling for $29.90. lol. looks damn tempting right? esp with the holidays coming.. can buy n watch n laugh until pengz.

met andrew on the mrt on the way back to tampines. he was on his way back to camp.. haha. realised it has been a long time since i last saw him. (though i kind of suspect that i saw him at white sands on saturday nite. but couldnt recognise him lah.. in army PTs and in the cap and all.. a bit difficult to tell lol) did a lot of catching up lah.updated him about alot of CCC stuff.. regarding hustings and lvyuan and some scandals etc lo. haha. lamented (and kinda laughed) at the shrinking comm. oooops. also crapped abt some other stuff oso lah..

lol was too tired and too lazy to blog yesterday so i left blogging till today.. and here i am! :-)

yep.. so it was the bball 'a' division guys finals yesterday between temasek jc vs hwa chong institute! kinda cheered till my voice become hoarse liao. haha. cos orientation OGLs were supposed to go help lead cheering marh.. actuali at the start of the match i was kinda disappointed lah. cos hwa chong ppl were kind of like cheering on for their team in unison.. but most tjcians were rather quiet and kind of refused to cheer lah.. though we were leading in the first set.. and it was only towards the end.. the last set when we were losing that ppl started cheering the team on.. haha. i have to say that the spirit was very very very very very very very very good lah! guess ppl need time to live up to the atmosphere haha.

and imagine watching video snippets of the last few minutes of the game this morning during the college day event. our cheers were so damn loud lah! and it felt really good to see everyone shouting lol

and the last few minutes of the match was extremely nailbiting lo. with about 2 or 3 minutes left hwa chong was freaking leading 65-64. but in the last 2 or 3 minutes of the game tj caught up and won 73-65. wahahahaha rox man was so damn happy especially its the first champion trophy we won for bball in 20 years! towards the end still counted down somemore.

rox rox rox rox rox hopefully badminton can win their finals next thursday as well!

so after the match, i went to watch vjc CO concert with zhenghao.. cos he had extra tix and didnt feel like going alone. so i went with him lo. anywaes the concert was not bad, but sorry to say, i don't really know how to xin1 shang3 CO music! haha! about half an hour into the 2nd half of the performance i started fidgeting in my seat liaos. but still it was not bad lah.. before last nite didnt get to mit zh for a long time liaos so could do some catching up. and somemore can meet up with old clsmates who were performing in the concert haha

went to college day this morning with jacky. replacing zhikai and kahtat who had badminton.. though i was originally rather against the idea of going for college day lah. tinking it would be some stupid sian boring idiotic bobo event which would bore me to sleep. but in the end it was actually not bad (though if given a choice i would still have chosen to stay at home sleeping in late and watching pokemon on kids central!). the dance guitar and band items were really very very very good. esp the dance item.

but food-wise it was not as good as i expected it to be lol. but thats not the point lah.

cos i got either level 7 or level 8 for the previous 2 chemistry SPAs for skill A liao then there's no need to do skill A again! hahahaha! no need to go through torture for chemistry skill A liao! i feel like tearing up all those skill A stuff. c liao sian diao4.

and physics SPA today rocked the entire universe. if i dont get level 8 i can basically go and die a horrible death liao. and i think the tchers will have an extremely easy time marking this SPA lol!

well anyways so exciting laH! tomorrow going to support basketball finals between TJ and hwa chong! hope TJ wins and get that damn trophy which tj hasn't won for 20 years.

ok, so i am in a not-so-good mood again now. am i depressed? maybe. well i guess it all depends on how you view it. to some people i may just be depressed or pissed off and wear a damn black face all the time. so what? why should i freaking care about what other ppl think?

so my birthday came and passed by just like that. as i was glancing through the list of people who had wished me happy birthday which i had typed in the previous entry just now, i came to a sudden revelation. that i am a really really damn fking 虛偽 person. imagine making global broadcasts transmitting the news that my birthday would be coming on blah blah, in ___ days. thru friendster, thru MSN nicks, thru incessant nian-ings to friends. i mean. thats so fking 假 rite? i know that should i have kept my damn mouth shut, less than half of all those names on that list would actually remember and would bother sms-ing a birthday msg, or wish me on msn, or whatever.

i guess the whole problem lies with me. i think im suffering from some attention deficit disorder. i know i did all that just so that i would actually feel remembered on that day. "remembered". is that the actual word to use? i have no idea, but i guess it more or less captures the feeling. i guess i was just hoping for some surprise on that day.. is that too much to hope for?

yes, i admit that i seek attention. i crave a lot of attention all the time from people around me, especially close friends. but is that wrong? having put in so much efforts in trying to maintain friendships with some people, is it wrong to want to feel appreciated for these efforts? is it wrong not wanting to be forgotten? maybe an sms message, a line on msn, a phone call or something occassionally would be sufficient enough to cease my worries about being forgotten. is it that difficult? or is the whole world really so damn busy that i am perhaps just a passing phase in people's lives?

if that is so, i guess its time to set my priorities straight. go ahead and busy myself with other stuff such as "studies". "friends" has been at the top of the list for a very long time already. in fact, since my AHS days. most of the time when someone needs something done, i would most likely agree to it. yes, even when i have many other things to worry myself about. alot of tutorials to be done, alot of deadlines for assignments to meet etc. heck. i would still do my best to help. but perhaps it is now time to push that priority 2 or 3 notches down the priority list. why make myself feel so terrible over something i have practically no control over? i know ive put in whatever i can liao. i don't know what else i can do already. but maybe all that ive done has been taken for granted, or is not enough to be remembered, to have all these reciprocated. why make myself so depressed over something which is so elusive, and which may not have even existed in the very first place? why must i fucking torture myself, torment myself and make my life so miserable?

i dont know.

i admit that i may think too much most of the time. but am i seriously asking for too much? all the stuff which happened in the past may just be a passing phase in my life eventually.. but having an exceptionally high emotional quotient (according to that big5 test), i have very high mood swings. i can be very very very very very happy on one end, and very very very very very dejected on the other. these feelings which other people also may or may not experience are just magnified like about 10 times in me. before i carry out let me make some things straight. its not that i feel forgotten all the time. the point is, i feel forgotten NOW. so sometimes i go out with good friends and i feel damn happy. a few weeks later or so when theres nothing, can u just imagine the anguish?

besides, mos tof the time when i go out with people, it is me doing the asking. well, can't it just be the reverse for once? at least let me feel remembered can? is that too much to fucking ask for? i guess if i keep my fucking mouth shut, i can just go on being the fucking pathetic loner i am now and coop myself up in my room in front of my computer 24/7.

i feel like crying and giving up sometimes. i really do. cos its really damn tiring putting in so much and not even getting 1/2 of what i put in in return.

oh wells, for all i know all these are just crap and inane ramblings which do not fucking make any sense. but they do to me can.

sometimes i just wish i was a non-living thing. or a person with very very low emotional quotient. though i would not experience whatever feelings of joy i could have experienced, on the contrary, i would be bypassing all the 痛苦 feelings i have had. how nice right. so what if i feel exceptionally happy when im happy. its not enough to make up for all this crap shit im going through now.

serious. the phrase "friends forever" may sound extremely cheesy and extremely corny or even gay to some extent. but even now at the age of 18, it still holds a special meaning to me. in my heart.

oh well. im just a weakling psychologically. just ignore me and leave me alone for all you like. let me wallow in my own self-misery.

lols after 2 days of absence, i am back to blog now! well the main difference between me 2 days ago and me today is my age. so im officially 18 years young now. yays? thing is actuali i didnt reali feel the "yay its my birthday" excitement yest. instead it just seemed like any other day to me. perhaps its becos ive since outgrown the "excitement" phase which i used to feel, esp during my AHS days. or maybe theres simply nothing to look forward to anymore. or maybe i was just too tired or something. i donnoe lah. haha.

okay so i spent my birthday in kbox. long time nvr go kbox liaos.. tink since december holidaes or march holidaes i cant rem which but most likely the former. haha. but the main thing this time is i sang TWIN'S CHILDREN SONGS! haha they do have some MVs of children songs sung by twins. like baa baa black sheep (which is so darn cute lah all those sheep on the screen lol) and old mcdonald. and they have this medley which they sang at some concert with twinkle twinkle little star and if you are happy and you know it and head and shoulders knees n toes and three little ducks etc etc. haha. so damn cute lah. aaaaaah luckily very few people walked past the room n peeked inside when i was trying to relive my childhood. cos that would be so darn diulian. haha.

thanks zhangyan for letting me knoe of the existence of all these children songs and the MVs. if not i would never knoe haha.

but im pissed cos kbox doesnt have twins' new MVs from their chinese album n i haf to sing jianxiaishen using their canto MV. but at least they have shi kangjun! rox rox haha

went to watch the latest drama box production "happy" at esplanade theatre studio. its adapted from the writer, oscar wilde's stories "happy prince" and "salome".. of course drama box's productions have always been of a certain standard, and this production maintains that standard drama box productions promise. the acting was especially good, especially from li xie and xu huiling. the songs, given that this is a musical-drama, are very very nice too. haha. written by huang yunren that wudidong guy.

apart from all these general stuff aside, story-wise, it is rather different from past ju4s which i was used to watching. cos the past ju4s are generally contain thoughts which serve to feng3 ci4 some society trend, government policies or something, or in the sense of certain school plays, contain high entertainment value. but "happy" merely serves to present the stories of oscar wilde. with the 2 stories "happy prince" and "salome", as well as a real-life based story of oscar wilde being imprisoned interlocking with each other, going from one story to another and back to another story again, it will be very difficult to understand if you do not have any english literature background (like me). but luckily qingliang actually explained some of the shou2 fa3s in this ju4 beforehand to us so it makes understanding much more easier.

of course at esplanade studio the technology would be good la. but while the lights are noisy when its automatically changing the lighting colour sheets which had been computerised. makes some irritating sounds haha. but on a whole the ju4 was not bad laa.

after that went eat at kenny rogers at suntec city. i realise that since the century square one closed down, i have not eaten kenny rogers for a long long long long long time! aaaaH cant they just reopen another branch in tampineS?

[PS: if you are interested, the story behind the title of this post is the fact that i begin wheezing and sneezing and coughing very vigorously while i am in the toilet shitting or bathing or whatever, but when im out of the toilet the frequency of all these coughing gets reduced by more than 95%. so am i realli allergic to my toilet? hahaha]

yays! i realise my blog hits have gone past the 8000 mark! hahaha

ok so i got back the mathematics test today. didnt expect the tcher to be able to mark so fast lah. guess what. i got 23/25. lost 2 freaking marks due to some lame stupid spastic careless mistake involving probability and 2 dice. @_#$))_!@$#% but never mind. i suppose getting twenty-three is still not that bad too. hahas!

kinda obvious that im in a good mood huh. haha. cos my birthdae is commiiiinngggg in about 4 hours haha so exciting rite?

well met up with hazel today after school to watch movie, eat and just crap. havent seen her for 6 days liao (since lv yuan) and havent reali crapped for 10000 years liao. haha. ended up watching house of wax. for the uninitiated who have been living on the moon or in antarctica with absolutely no access to tv adverts or media critic reviews, yes its that paris hilton bimbo movie. yah i knoe its kinda a wrong choice watching a horror-thriller flick with her. i tink my arm got bruise liao. got beaten up by her when she was scared =.=

do not read on if you are interested in watching the movie and do not want to be subjected to spoilers of any kind.

but all in all house of wax was not bad. albeit being excessively gory at times with lots and lots and lots of blood all over the place. and watching that guy being waxed into a wax figurine while still being alive was "painful" if you imagine yourself in his shoes. haha. like hot wax being sprayed all over your body. wounds being stitched up with some normal tailor thread and needle. the scalpel pinching off pieces of his flesh. eeeek. haha. and it must have hurt damn badly for the lead actress to have her finger snipped off by the evil guy!

and as usual as what happens in all horror flicks , the first guy who got himself killed was the most curious and stupid and idiotic person of the group. felt like slapping him. damn spastic lah bu4 zhi1 hao2 dai3 anyhow get himself into trouble. sheesh. what do you do when you see a dead town which has no living person walking around the place + the guy you seek help from is the onli one who seems to be alive and is a creep? try to escape rite. duh. and he still meddled around the creep's house and got himself killed. kinda serves him right =x

paris hilton surprises me cos she's a well-known bimbo and YET her character is a little smart after all in her escape from the murder. though she still got killed in the end lah. but i think she's the only one who did not die helpless. she even attacked the murderer somemore. but for her debut movie all she did throughout the film was to kiss and have sex with her boyfriend. right up until the scene before she got killed.

but the settings of the entire movie kinda rocks lah. all the waxed people in the cinema seats watching a film. those waxed people in the church etc. and the scriptwriter managed to tie up some of the loose ends of the story at the end of the film. like who the hell was that guy dealing with dead carcasses of the animals and whom creepily led them to the wax town. haha i knew he wouldn't be there for nothing =x

kinda think the title of the movie should be town of wax and not house of wax though. maebe house of wax sounds nicer. haha.

overall rating: 3.5/5

so after house of wax it was sakae sushi buffet time! haha. went there and ate for 2 whole freaking hours. ok maybe not. rather its eat for 1 whole freaking hour and sit there and take up space for another freaking hour and crapped. haha. it was the first time i actually ate sakae sushi in two whole years! the last time i went i was in sec 4. =x

the amazing race concluded yesterday with the winners of the season being uchenna and joyce. they narrowly pipped out rob & amber lah. who was kinda screwed when they needed to find the last clue of the leg before heading for the finishing mat by some lame passer-by who gave them wrong directions. seriously i think the passer-by who misled them may be some person who had watched survivor and couldnt stand them and decided to screw them up. hahaha.

what i didn't like about this ending is that it is so similar to the ending two seasons ago when the final 2 was between chip and kim and colin and christie. the strong competitive team VS the nice friendly team. and the irony is that both rob & amber and colin & christie had chalked up so many first spots throughout the race, but failed to win the 1 million bucks at the very end. deja vu sia. seriously it would be better if we could have some people with different kinds of personalities winning, instead of having similar winners season over season. not that uchenna and joyce are a bad team anyway. kudos to joyce for getting her head shaved in india. ahha.

seems like the editing of uchenna and joyce managing to catch the last flight back to the states had some foreshadowing to the time when rob and amber managed to NARROWLY catch the first flight along with the other teams who could finish the roadblock involving eating meat.

and lastly american idol has anthony federov booted out this week! haha i knew the day would come when the numbers of women would own that of the guys in the competition. now its 2vs1 in females against males. carrie, vonzell and bo in the top 3. good that vonzell managed to make it past final 4, considering how past trends from previous seasons shows that the 4th spot is the death spot against black singers who have makings of a diva (ala latoya london of AI3 and tamyra gray of AI1). haha. think that this years' top 3 is very very very very good. but considering the massive fan base of carrie AND bo, i wonder if vonzell will be able to survive past next week and get into the top2. =x

yesh finally a test which i feel that i had not screwed up totally. haha. yesh yesh yesh!!! kinda hoping for full marks cos well i knoe how to do every single part and every single question! hopefuli no careless mistakes or skip any important steps la. statistics rox the world man! haha. amazing come to think of it. i finished the paper about 5-10 minutes early and did not use any liquid paper throughout right up till the very last part. =.= sorry just let me rant on im ecstatic. haha

after some dialogue session with some general with the armed forces or something in the auditorium which left more than half of the auditorium asleep (including me), and making me feel that i should have ponned the whole thing in the first place, i met up with kelvin to go walk walk ard lo. haha. firstli cos my bdae's coming so i feel like going out la. secondli cos i don feel like going home that early though there was american idol on tv. but that's not the point. quite fun lah. long time nv go out crap together liao. haha.

in the end went watch divergence "三岔口" which starred aaron kwok / ekin cheng / daniel wu / li xinjie / gallen lo etc etc etc. despite the rather good critics ive read in newspapers and some magazines, i have to say that i am quite disappointed in the movie lah. was expecting much better. haha. wouldn't recommend u all to watch oso.

from trailers n posters it seems to b touted as the biggest action flick of the yr (or something lidat). but what u will get frm the film.. at least 1/2 of the film is kind of a crap love snoozefest of aaron kwok reminiscing about li xinjie, his girlfriend who disappeared 10 years ago for some reason he cannot fathom. and watching aaron kwok cry cry cry and look at his li xinjie keychain and dream about li xinjie is as interesting as watching ants crawl on the floor. sorry but i just feel that the way the director chose to handle the scene just does not reali impact me, but bored me a lot instead.

a disappointment considering how the movie started with a bang with the woman being followed by a guy who was eventually murdered by a thin wire. but actualli all the action parts are not bad. the scene at the dead photographer's house all the way to market scene btwn daniel wu and aaron kwok was good. i guess that's one of the few exciting parts of the movie bah.

plotwise it's rather weak considering how the director focusses a lot on a rather non-existant girlfriend of aaron kwok's and his reminiscing until how he met someone who looks similar and decides to do some stalking himself blah blah blah. my ratings for it would be 2/5 hahaha

ok i am officially proud to announce that after having used my computer for 3 freaking long years already, it was only yesterday that i figured out that there was actually an in-built microphone in my freaking monitor. haha thats like so cool right! it was VERY creepy at first. haha. elvin wanted me to download that skype programme which offers free phone calls over the Internet. by right i didnt knoe i haf microphone lar. den i just downloaded to listen to him talk cos he wanted to test the programme. den during one of those phone calls, he said that he could hear what i was listening on my radio. and i stunned tio. haha. den i said something n he could hear.

and so began the hunt for the missing microphone.

and what was some "holes" at the top of my monitor which i originally thought was merely decoration turned out to be a microphone. yay! MSN audio conversations + internet phone calls here i come =)

so the top 2 teams in the secondary school category this year were the same as last year's. but who cares! what matters is that you guys have put in alot of effort into making the plays a success.. though i wasn't there to watch the competition finals due to lv yuan, but i'm sure that you all did a good job. its just that what the judges love this year wasn't what we produced lo. it's not our fault that the judges love giving awards to plays with faggots which had rather similar storylines and the same guy acting as a mother for 2 consecutive years right. bleargh. but nvm. next up will be xiangying! [for the uninitiated: 1st RI 2nd catholic 3rd RV]

anyway kudos to HCJC for winning 1st in the JC category for the very first year they entered 小品比賽. but seriously their ju4 was very very very very very very good. so good that when i watched it during the chu1 sai4 all the other ju4s seem to pale in comparison by a lot and i knew that that would be the eventual winner liaos.. [for the uninitiated: 1st HCI. 2nd VJ. 3rd RJ]

school today was normal. nothing very interesting to come out of it. just that they freaking cancelled PE all of a sudden cos the PE department felt that there were a lot of events going on / coming up. sianz! i was so looking forward to frisbee laRh!

then cleared the auditorium of all our stuff leftover from performance. going to handover very very very soon liao. feels very very weird ya? one year seems to have passed by so quickly.

lol hey~~ so im back to blog. nah it wasnt cos i was depressed for more than a month that i didnt blog for so long. its cos i was lazy! haha. thats like so expected rite? =p

anywaes.. lv yuan was over 2 days ago.. kinda feels weird going home that earlie and not having paixi and all that liao la. haha. no more technical run / full run / actual day performance timetables to plan and all that. no more cues to take note of liao.. but i dont have the kongxu feeling yet though..

comments on this year's lv yuan generally have been positive! YAY! llb says its better than huang cheng! nick says d acting is good! haha. well generally many ppl say that the scripts this year were much more mature and stronger. but the sad thing was that its much more cheemer too.. not many people could understand "2045"! budden hor. for a play to have similar titles to some wong kar-wai movie (2046 for the uninitiated), cannot possibly be too simplistic rite? =p

i oso have to comment on the ticket sales sia. they were so slow-moving till the final few days! gave me the shock of my life when i heard that the ticket sales on friday was 106% and saturday was 95%. that's like so high larh! hahah at least makes me feel that all our efforts have not gone to waste.

ok. so actuali if u all nid to qiu2 qian1 u all can go to the bugis temple there. cos the qian1 which jodi and jieying took said that lv yuan was going to be good. and look at it! its good! haha. so i think its kinda accurate la~~

but of course lv yuan wasnt so smooth-sailing as well for the few days running up to the yan3 chu1. the auditorium experienced its most massive power failure in 2 years (at least. well according to zhangyan and anni) when all the lights tripped and couldn't work and nothing could work at all! thats so horrible lahs don't you think. imagine having a full run 2 days before the actual thing without any lights nor sound and having to give cues through a microphone so that everyone in the audience watching can hear.

and the auditorium air is CURSED/JINXED/VIRUSIFIED with who-knows-what. or the auditorium is haunted. wat the hell after spending most of the week in the auditorium i am officially sick again. so is huimin and esther goh and zhangyan and a whole lot of other ppl.

haha. lastli to the *scandalous* couple which 2045 produced~~ may ur relationship last kie? haha`- well THAT'S one thing positive which came out of that show. =p

hello people.. as you can see i've changed my blogskin only after a week of restarting my blog. haha its cos i dont really like the old blogskin i was using liaos.. the background was too dark! den i see liao oso sian =.= so.. i changed it to something WHITE (and black) hahaha

ok so this blog entry shouldn't be too long cos im so worried again. cos the JAE results will be released tomorrow la.. haizz i guess its kinda amazing how i get worried about stuff which i shouldn't get worried about.. but i heard that this yr's cut-off for tj will be partial 7 so im worried for the people i knoe whom got 7 points (yancheng etc etc) lo.. what if they fall after the cutoff? :-( im so worried lo.. hopefully i will =D tomorrow yah? ahha

bought alot of things within the span of half an hour. ahha. a new pair of adidas sports shoes.. a new handphone pouch.. and a new red nalgene water bottle. the feeling of having money to spend rox la.. budden now after buying so many expensive stuff i am officially broke.

after that went watch huangcheng. honestly it is better than last year's though the standards are not really there la. generally it was ok. the xie4 mu4 had the usual qi4 fen4. and i remember how to sing the huang cheng song. but they only had 2 emcees this year... and i think this year's emcees are the worst ever in huangcheng history.. they dont have the emcee sei if you get what i mean. and they drag their words a little too much.

for the first ju4 《一步天堂》 which zhaoyin is one of the directors of.. i think the ti2 cai2 of the play isnt very good cos its a little hard to relate to. but i like the settings (the seesaw and the platform at the back). what's sad is that they did not make use of the stage to the max. thought that its kinda weird that the characters switched positions once and made use 2 out of the 3 sets available and not all of them. the female actors outshone the male actors in the play. thought that the male actors didnt really ru4 xi4. but i love the usage of the candles and the ending of the show where they blasted the stage lights at the audience. damn bright but the effect they wanted to create was there.

the second ju4 《竖起你的大拇指》. i think i have weird tastes cos in contrast to most other people's likings i like this ju4 the most out of the 3 lah. though it gets a little too nao4 at times but i like how the bian1 ju4 use a light-hearted fashion to bring about a rather heavy issue currently.. i like the links made between money and "love?". however the stage settings really cannot make it cos it looks exceptionally slipshod. all the shou2 fa3s with the barney song and the jin1 zhi2 jiang3 were not bad. but some of the actors were too exaggerated liao.. exaggerations does not realli have a direct proportion to being funny. and i think the starting is kinda pointless. i like the ending though. the way the light shone on the ah ma's thumb was not bad.

the third ju4 《我们这里还有味》 was the one i like the least. cos i think its crap. ok in the dark you can see the flybars rising and dropping la. haolian that they got VT and very good facilities huMph. but when the stagelights were switched on the backdrops were such a strong disappointment. the speed salon banner is so slipshodly done.. horrendous its the worse backdrop ive ever seen on VT stage. kinda bored with the show cos of rather poor acting, a very very draggy storyline (i kept anticipating it to end) and rather plain plot.

then went eat at bedok market with constance/brenda/sookhee/minghan/guangfeng.

today was basically a stay-at-home-day which i slept away... sleeping is a xiang3 shou4 okay!! sooooo i woke up late and took an afternoon nap. hahaha

im back to blog! and i think holidays reali owns.. better den having to go to sch for lessons.. wah lao thats so damn boring lo

ok so there was paixi today for lvyuan.. it was to haf started at 9.30am la. but i freaking woke up at 9.15am lol. and since i was gonna b late liao i mite as well b late lo so i took my time getting ready n left hse at 9.50am..... and decided to take a cab cos if i tk bus i wil b late by arnd 1 hr and that is too li2 pu3 liao haha. i stil have some conscience in me after all =x and the cab driver is amazing. cos he's the most ji4 jiao4 taxi driver i've ever seen in my entire life! the cab fare was $6.10. and he insisted on that freaking 10cents! 10cents... like wat on earth can u do with 10cents in singapore. other cab drivers would have kindly charged $6 lo. but never mind im not about to get pissed just for a pathetic 10cents =)

so after tt watched paixi.. which went on rather smoothly though i haf this irksome feeling that the ju4 is gonna b longer than i thot it will be. hopefuli gt lesser cues den i no nid tt jinzhang liao wahahahha.

after paixi went to siglap's kfc to eat. i tink the yalam attending to me n sookhee was pissed cos we made some racist remarks before tt. d chickens she gave us were so pathetically small.. the smallest ive ever seen in a kfc lo. lesson to be learnt: do not piss siglap KFC cashiers of. vengeful ppl~~

then we all went to yong en's house to watch "love me if you dare" which is some french movie which yuneng recommended my ju4 ppl to watch. ok it was not bad but its typically boring like how most other french movies are n im amazed i nvr fall aslp

was inspired to clear my room so went to tm popular to buy myself some files. den went home n started packing. but got distracted by my beloved blog n tv (jie da huan xi + american idol 4 + 1/2 yuan fen + the amazing race + ER) so im stil not done yet lol... nvm though cos it looks rather neat enuf liao. which is amazing considering the disastrous state it was previously in.

Yeah just for your info i scrapped the old one, deleted all the old entries and everything... and i'm back with a new blog skin and all hehe.. donnoe why but I suddenly got inspired to start up a new blog la.. though it will most probably be san fen zhong re du again =)

life has been very very very good these few days..

friday had paixi for klat cafe.. progress is not bad la.. didnt go temasek idol cos i refuse to spend 3 bux on something so stupid.. went back with sookhee after tt den told him abt how i felt abt some things lah. like not having the feeling of going back that often to ahscds anymore and stuff lidat. and how sianz i felt about some things.

saturday morn my dad applied for atm card for me.. den after that went NUS open house (yc told me juz now that some of his frens went for open house as well. made me so shocked la why do year ones actually go for NUS open house even when they have onli entered jc for 3 months?!?) which was rather ok. though NUS gives me the feeling that its gonna collapse anytime.. thats how rundown i felt it was. everything abt it is old. even the songs the dj was playing at the entrance was old. THE GOODIE BAG WAS SO CHEAPSKATE THAT IT BROKE. maybe i was expecting too much but the qi4 fen4 wasnt very good either.

and even after the talk i really donnoe wat i want to apply for. take chem i will burn the chem labs down by anyhow mixing chemicals. take law i will haf a 100% record of losing cases. take engineering i wil suck at whatever im doing given how sucky my physix is now. no interest in chem engineering cos i donwan do petrochemical stuff so BORING. take maths so SIAN im alrd sick of it now lo. donwan business cos i don even understand 1st 3 months jc econs let alone business. oh well. wadever

after that went watch yu4 wang4 dao2 yu3 (pulau) at substation. which is a R18 show. which i shudn't watch by right cos im still an innocent 17yo kid who has yet to turn 18. the show has lots of sexual connotations in it. and it has expletives too though they onli use 3 in the whole show. they kip repeating tmd n cb. but d male guy used knn only once. actuali i don c the nid for expletives bt nvm. i tink d dao yan has his own meanings. seriousli i dont get it but nvm i shall anyhow place links here n there thruout the story.. so i get it haha but i think the female yan yuan is so dem freakin pro. the male one owaes chi1 luo2 si1 lah but nonetheless he's quite good oso. yep the whole show onli got 2 actors...
